I just saw the whole CU women's soccer or volleyball team in the Detroit airport. Muted a conference call to yell "Go Buffs." Gotta be a good omen, right? Side note: Michigan is the worst
Wait, did I just see Adkins jersey does actually say adams on it? I may be drunk and have missed that.
Went to bed with 9 minutes left thinking it couldn't get any more frustrating than it already was to watch. This program continues to pull off the unthinkable.
Neinas should just be left in Hawaii. I don't care how shitty the offense was, our special teams lost us the game.
This isn't to say I'm not pissed off - sitting here having to listen to a USC alum who knows jack about FB in general all day at work virtually ensures I'll be pissed off all day - but I thought the OL was playing fine until 1) Kough got called for the phantom chop block thus killing our momentum and 2) Kough got injured shortly after that. Both absolutely killed our momentum and whoever came in to play left guard (I think Huckins moved to LG and Callahan came in to play RG) was god fucking awful. Literally all the pressure that Hawaii got from that point on came from that left side of the line between the Center and the Left Guard. Hopefully Kough's injury wasn't serious because that is when things really started to fall apart. I hate to give in to all of the tards on BS, but good protection or not, Sefo was terribly inaccurate. Whether it was the early INT or some of the deep throws that he missed, his passing was not at all impressive. I'll give him credit for some of his scrambling, but that is about it. Adkins and Lindsay are the only two RB's that should see any playing time. Last night was just a perfect example of why I bitch about the way Powell gets utilized (he can't run out of the f'n shotgun) and unless they change that, giving him carries is a waste. The D looked much improved IMO. They might catch some heat from people that see we gave up 28 to Hawaii, but the offense did them zero favors. The poor play of the offense resulted in the D being on the field a lot more than they should've been and resulted a # of times in them having to defend a very short field. I don't care who we have out there on D or who is coaching it, you're not going to be successful when left in positions like our D was last night. Special teams were abysmal, but that is nothing new for CU football. George should be pistol whipped for agreeing to a 7pm game in Hawaii. I hate to say it, but even with a shitty start time after traveling a long ways, there is no excuse for coming out as unprepared as we were. The good faith that Mac has built up with me is seriously starting to be tested.
Spot on. I still can't believe how many different ways we managed to shit the bed last night. Even for us, it was unreal.
2 gift TDs, just tackle him Crawley, Shit tier passing attack, but the defense was a lot better than the 28 points indicate. I'm just happy I've been right about Adkins being a really good back all along. Powell needs to never carry it again. Lets not even use Keeney? Refs were pretty fucking awful. I'm pretty indifferent on the result though.
I say give him '16 no matter what. If he can't win next year with everyone back, then it's a problem.
It takes a long time to rebuild a program that was in the shape it was when Hawkins and Embree left. Not like bball where one or two recruits can turn the team around. I think Mac should be forgiven for Hawaii. Hell, Pete Carroll almost lost there when he was at USC. The Island effect is a real thing - for whatever reason, it's really hard to play there. It's too bad the Buffs schedule doesn't set up better this year. If they had udub, wazzu, and osu at home, things would be much easier.
I thought I was the only one who thought that. Seemed like every time we got moving on offense, down goes a UH player. Pretty sure Sefo three his hands up at one point.
Go down for a few minutes in crippling pain. Go to the sideline for a play. Come back. Bush league bullshit. NCAA needs to do something.
Lol we've been dealing with this shit for 7 years. If anyone has a good idea for how to stop it, please let me know. Harbaugh was the worst about it. Cal has been bad too.
I know I've bashed our boards/posters a lot in the past, and sometimes it was probably me being condescending for the sake of being condescending (i.e., me being an obnoxious asshole), but I'm not sure I can do Stampede any more. The posters who have joined in the last five years are so active and so terrible. The violent reactions to college sporting events are nauseating. A couple of them fly off the handle in an amusing way, but most of them are just gross. I honestly miss STL and DChase.
