And the guys he signed to NU?
What the fuck is with the Hagan love by the way? I really can't be the only one who looks at the depth chart for 2019 and think that position is in trouble, can I?
Was hoping he’d go back to having an off field role.
Have you seen 247 today? Those people, specifically Max, think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I hoped he wouldn't have been brought back, others I'm fine with.
I try to limit my exposure over there to only what Adam writes and posts.
Would have been fine moving on from him or sending him to an office role of some nature. I just don't view him as a high-upside coach.
I am not particularly upset keeping him for a year to help maintain the class. He probably offers some value in that department.
Like keeping Drake (cheap, seems to have upside), Chev (WR and recruiting is a good combo) and I suppose Els is okay because the guys seem to like him.
Want to see some money splash on the OL Coach. We need another flashy hire to bring in some talent, and there could not be a better spot to drop some cash than OL.
Smart. Pretty convinced half those people have been kicked in the head recently.
However, I will head over now to read the meltdown over Ty Evans for the entertainment factor.
Shockingly, no meltdown.
I hate Dog so so much. He's such a taint.
Siewert is a lot better than I ever thought he'd be.
Thought we were dead in the water down 17. Team has some fight. We’ve doubled the amount of road wins we had last year.
Chiv offered a 2022 RB from Cali. 1st offer.
Pretty good tape for a freshman
Summers as DC wouldn’t exactly excite me, but all the hires get the benefit of the doubt to start.
We must have like $20 to split up to pay for the staff.
We were all hoping $800k less on the head coach meant $800k more for the assistants. We should have known CU doesn’t follow logic like that.
Seem to be making a lot of jump to conclusions without any real information
Not too happy about Summers. Tucker better be really hands on with the defense.
But if Tucker is going to do that, I woulda rather seen him hire an young recruiter to mentor. Guess we’ll see.
That was plan A with Lanning.
Summers is a solid DC imo. I wouldn’t put much stock into his time at Georgia Southern, there is a super weird culture down there. Their fans are stuck in the 1980s and they pretty much run off anyone who isn’t dedicated to running the triple option.
At least we have Drake's $5 and free car wash tokens back.
Was fine with Drake staying because:
1. He was cheap
2. The D-Line Improved
3. From my non-insider stance, he seemed to bring some energy to the team
I don't mind him leaving. Still reserving judgement on the process until after the position coaches are finalized. Not getting bent out of shape over the coordinators (I don't mind either, and they should hit the ground running with Tucker), though I do want to see at least some cash fly on position coaches.
Even as I was typing this I could feel my optimism fade.
Much needed. Although I think Brady R will be a very good player.
#Auburn Tigers does this kid have any potential?
Probably but we can't know for certain bc Gus hasn't truly utilized a true tight end since Lutz. Don't blame him for transferring, had potential out of high school
We have no clue because the TE position does not exist in the Gus Malzahn offense.
IIRC, he was good in the passing game but struggled as a blocker.
I think the last two years our TEs caught a total of 10 passes. We know the feeling.
Yeah, he had a rough start at AU with Lutz dying and then his teammate getting killed. Worth a shot, he's a good kid but Gus doesn't use a TE outside of blocking.
I love Tuck
Getting the Michigan trio on Wednesday would be amazing. Sounds like it's definitely trending that direction.
Will also be quite smug if Perry decides to sign and not wait it out with a trip to USC.
#Maryland Terrapins #Kentucky Wildcats Tell us about this guy
He did well coaching individuals but the defensive line as a collective unit was pretty underwhelming in his time at Kentucky.
Well, did you see the logic two regents used to vote against Tucker's contract?
"Football is a violent sport and CU isn't doing enough to prevent injuries" - Regent Linda Shoemaker
"College sports get too much money as is, and the CU AD is being subsidized by the university" - Regent John "Jack" Kroll (who knows - or damn well should as a regent - that the AD is run separately from the rest of the university so there is no way the AD could be "subsidized" by it)
Ham decommitted from BC.
Pump the kool aid into my veins
Brumbaugh bringing that Mississippi JC connect.
Jordan looks like a grown ass man.
I love the focus on the DL. Between Jordan and Austin Williams, we just signed secured about *660 pounds of DT/NT I like the move, even if they are depth pieces initially.
Jordan had 500 yards rushing and 13 TDs as a Senior
Was thinking that this morning. Nice to have a staff that not only emphasizes the OL and DL, but also values size. No idea if they're any good, but will be nice to have them behind Antwine and Lang rather than some 280lb freshman.
Also, fuck Missouri.
So it was Mac keeping us yoga strong. Fucking idiot.
Guess I missed Williams being measured at 6'5" on his visit.
Hopefully he and Sami develop into some maulers in the middle.
Glad that he doesn’t hold a grudge like most. Knew he was in over his head.
