If Joe Biden wins reelection this anti-trans/racism/bigotry in general masquerading as brand boycotts is only going to get worse. As fascists try and whip people up because they can no longer control the trajectory of American culture becoming ever more accepting of people who are different from themselves.
I don’t think you see what the issue is. You say “I don’t care” but your defense and posting history says otherwise. What you’re doing is very similar to saying “I’m not racist”, but behind closed doors you may make jokes about black people, etc. your posting makes you look disingenuous. I sincerely hope you are sincere about not being bothered about transgender people, etc, but your posting leads folks to believe otherwise.
Guys I'm just here to discuss this marketing blunder ahd the way it is going to impact the market share of bud light! As if that topic is fucking remotely interesting.
12 hours later, and our guy Saul has resorted to “will someone PLEASE think of the poor multinational corporation?”
There's plenty in your opinions I take issue with, but the idea that we as a country, or InBev, should pander to the demographic of largely lower class, white, DRUNKS (YOUR DESCRIPTION BTW) is the most absurd thing in this thread. Sure wouldn't want to piss them off. Come the fuck on. Give me one compelling reason why we (again, as a society) wouldn't be better off if liver failure caught that group sooner rather than later. Note: I am not making light of alcoholism, just a point about who The Real UT seems to care about the most.
This thread was an incredible takedown. Pages 4-6 were breathtaking. Lol at me thinking there might be some introspection after that revelation. Nope, straight from denial to rationalization and then a comfortable landing back on using the exact same disgusting take towards another marginalized group.
I just heard from my large adult son who goes to a liberal arts college. He said they’re all having huge Bud Light parties where they charge people to come and pour out cases of Bud Light. Then they take the money and go back and buy more. That’s all they talk about in the coffee shops there. Sounds like billions in new revenue they don’t want you to know about.
So Saul has a kid that just graduated from college, which means he made that post with a 9 year old at home. What sort of morality and life lessons were being imparted to that boy, big yikes.
Look he knows from Valley talk that it's just standard blocking and tackling Elon is doing at Twitter. If you knew how things went in the Valley, you'd know this too.
I love that he comes here to engage in these discussions but then places zero value on anyone else's perspective, learns absolutely nothing, does no introspection or examination of priors/assumptions, and ducks hard questions. Like why bother talking to anyone at all
I feel like he thinks he's going to rationalize his stance but all he finds is more questions he can't answer about why he holds it.
benny johnson is online today yelling at a poster of joanna gaines for being a satanic groomer inside a target these are serious people folks
stopped to get lunch and grabbed a beer while i waited. ended up sitting beside a redneck here in rural nc and ordered a bud light. was expecting a snide comment but just came back from the bathroom and he covered it for some reason rural america has gone woke
Just picked up a $4 (after rebate) case of Bud Light. How long will the chuds boycott last with a 3 day weekend and $.17 beers.
This got me thinking…do any of you who live or regularly visit extremely conservative areas know people who outwardly appear as if they must be major chuds, but actually hold what could be described as liberal political beliefs? I’m not talking progressives, but someone who would at least align with the Democratic caucus. Please provide examples, if you can.
Most people who lean conservative are indistinguishable from those who lean liberal. Of those who lean conservative only like 15% are really over the top with it where there's no doubt about them. In my experience...
I was meeting with a client in rural Alabama who checked the boxes and then he went on a rant on the importance of fighting climate change and in my head I was like “what the fuck.” It turned out his main business was supplying trees to paper mills, which explained his position on environmental health. He ended the meeting with a bit about the importance of keeping God in schools because the current administration was straying from “core beliefs” and I just left really confused.
I have a couple of good ole boys who come to my store to talk politics and shit-talk Trump. You can tell they don't have a lot of people to talk to about these things, so they appreciate the outlet. One is a Vietnam vet and the other guy is younger but just to look at them you'd assume they were standard issue rural republicans.
I mentioned it before but my dad and grandfather both look like they’d be chuds but are the complete opposite. Their everyday attire is overalls and some sort of mesh trucker style hat they got at the livestock auction. Both are lifelong Dems and hate the fuck outta Trump and everyone that supports him.
