The noodles would definitely not be everyone’s cup of tea but they’re decent for being 0 calories and 0 carbs
Off thread topic but I received my great grandmother’s chicken paprikash recipe from my mother last year. So goddamn good.
Hope this is open This is an actual restaurant run by my state rep who was indicted on election perjury for lying about his address so he could run in an uncontested district.
Is that the old, “My $1.25 Torino pizza doesn’t have enough cheese, fuck it put the shredded cheese in the fridge drawer that’s been down there for six months and toast it until it’s certifiably plastic,” move?
I THINK it's an open face sandwich. But that's the picture the Downtown Diner posted of their special.
Thank God it comes with a roll, because between the noodles and potatoes, there just weren’t enough carbs.
How the fuck you’d think noodles go with mashed potatoes? This coming from a guy who loved some spaghetti sandwiches but there are some limits.
This is wrong. Homemade egg noodles with either spicy sausage or chicken is a heaven-like experience.
This is a stupid take. Have you ever had garlic bread with pasta? Beer with a cheeseburger? OMG DOUBLING UP ON CARBS THE ABSOLUTE HORROR
It has nothing to do with carbs. It just doesn't sound good. It doesn't sound bad, but it's never something I'd make. I'd rather just make a good pasta dish. That is the most white bread shit ever. I'd certainly never order it at a restaurant. I'd try it if someone offered at a potluck or something but it's just unappealing. I don't need noodles in my potatoes.
Bob Evans has chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. I've never had it, but it looks a lot better than what's pictured. I'd order it if I ever end up at a Bob Evans again.
The one above looks really dry. The ones that look more like chicken and dumplings over mashed potatoes look good. (Haven’t had it though)
Back when I went to Bob Evans when I lived in Ohio this was my go to order and it’s incredible Probably been 15 or 20 years since I’ve been to Bob Evans
It is comfort food, not for everyday eating for sure. It is a good meal to have instead of pot pie, shepherds pie or dumplings. The noodles are in a liquid that is somewhere in between gravy and broth in consistency and it is delicious. Most people frown at it until they try it and then willingly have a second serving.
Our boys are coming back from overseas, folks. And they don’t want pot pies or dumplings. They want gravy noodles! And mashed potatoes! And you know what? We’re gonna give it to them!
It's no use, brother. These folks just refuse to see the light. It's like they fear change and are kinda standoffish or something. Their loss. just means more chick noodle mash for the rest of us.
