These was an insane amount of pressure here in town on this Summerville team to win it all this year after falling short last year with 2 of the nations top prospects. I don’t see how there is any leg to stand on for an appeal. These types of mistakes are pretty cut and dry.
Agreed. Unfortunately for them the rule book is very cut and dry on it being a forfeit. The only thing I heard about any confusion is the weather delay having a factor on his throwing two days I'm rather than one but I don't see the SCHSL changing their ruling.
Is it just me or does it seem like there have been a lot appeals in recent years, for various sports/reason?
SCHSL has been in serious need of leadership with a functional brain for a long time. I would clean out the whole office and start over.

Just found out Spartanburg is getting a minor league baseball team? A little surprising to me. This will make 6 MiLB teams in SC (Spartanburg, Columbia, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, North Augusta)
I'm looking forward to seeing the stadium. There is a good pub that will be behind the stadium that everyone should give a try, Main Street Pub. Delicious and an outstanding Bourbon selection
Myrtle Beach may not be around too much longer. The city and county can't come to an agreement on the stadium renovation/relocation that MILB is mandating.
They are called Augusta Greenjackets, I didn’t know they were in North Augusta til looking at a list of MiLB franchises on wiki
Well damn. Ive heard of them but i didnt know they were actually in North Augusta. Ive never really explored far off 25 down there. Next time im there i might have to go looking.
A nod to the old textile league days would have been badass. Hopefully they will have some history displayed at the stadium
when i first moved to Spartanburg the college team was the Crickets and they had another one after that. Papa’s Breakfast nook has a burger called the Spartanburger. Plus, it seems pretty common for minor league teams to run themes and sell alternates.

(I can't actually read the article because paywall) Clemson University is tightening its belt, cutting expenses down to 'mission critical.' Why? Despite a multi-billion-dollar budget, Clemson University told its faculty and staff that expenses over the next six months must be limited to "mission critical." Here's why.
