I own the Border Trilogy and need to read it. How entertaining are these books? How good are they? I just finished ASOIAF series so I'm looking for something else compelling to read for pleasure in my spare time now.
I've only read All The Pretty Horses. At the time I didn't know it was a trilogy so I stopped at that, I loved it though and plan on rereading it soon and then reading The Crossing and Cities of the Plain Love McCarthy so much.
I've read No County for Old Men, Blood Meridian, and The Road. Blood Meridian was not a page turner although it was a GREAT book. The Road and No Country For Old Men were both page turners. I started All the Pretty Horses once and got distracted, but from what I can remember, it's not a page turner.
Read All the Pretty Horses last week. Liked it, but wouldn't say I loved it. How does it compare to 2 and 3?
Cities of the Plain was my favorite but honestly it's a rather pointless exercise to differentiate between the three
