I mean I'm hoping for many more instances of this story. I mean obviously I'm hoping they go quickly so as not to waste our precious resources. I'm not a monster.
On the flip side, my aunt almost assuredly has the virus (can't smell or taste anything, which is a tell take sign), and she has some pretty bad underlying health issues including lupus, and is in her early 60's. She seems to be doing fine. Fever has already subsided. I over heard her talking to my mom on the phone earlier, and she sounded completely exhausted, but good all things considered. Her doctor also started her on some version of the cholorquine meds + anti-biotics combo almost immediately, so maybe that helped (although I think that's still a pretty controversial thing). So who knows what makes someone susceptible to actually having a severe illness from the virus.
Every press conference since he became president follows the exact same rubric. He reads the things written for him and then he can say whatever he wants. His incompetency assures he will destroy markets and hurt his shareholders if he has no direction in his speeches so he must be told what to say at the start of all speeches. Once he gets that out of the way he is turned loose. Anything that comes out of his mouth after he appeases the rich and keeps his properties safe doesn't matter. He's a narcissist so I bet he hates being told to read what is written for him. They keep it brief so he doesn't lose focus. Then he's free to say whatever dumb shit he wants. His base will never hold him accountable for anything so who cares.

You aunt has been taking I assume chloroquine and/or hydroxy chloroquine for her lupus, and yet here we are where it is thought she may have the virus. Secondly, there are those out there with lupus whose lives are being saved by hydroxychloroquine, those who are now finding there drug on short or having their prescription pulled * I see that she wasn't on it before and now is, second point stands

I honestly don’t wish death from this upon anyone and liked this post in hopes that people thinking this is a joke start to take it seriously. My parents weren’t taking it seriously until my mother’s sister lost two friends recently that were around their age with no underlying health conditions.
just skipped 60 pages of this thread, but over overall thought on this whole ordeal is that when the government is not fully staffed and ran by people that respect the roles of lifetime government workers. Then a lot of things can go wrong that no one ever thinks about because there have always been the people in place to deal with it.

i don't think people realize that the vast majority of musicians barely scrape by based on touring, and obviously that's off the table for awhile. i bought an absolutely terrible t-shirt last week to support a band whose album i've listened to probably 50 times. no regrets.
