Schools and school sports will suck up every testing resource. Plus the NBA, NFL, MLB and MLS. And because all of those things being in operation are crucial to the WH’s “gotta look normalized” re-election strategy Darth Jared will make sure they are prioritized.
It's not immediately obvious, but Disney actually makes more money from the resorts, not the parks, so there's a ton to do. For free stuff, we end up hanging out at the pool or we go hiking around ft wilderness or ride boats/trains/buses (our kids are still young). For non-free stuff, sometimes we'll go to downtown Disney and watch a movie or go bowling. The Mrs and I are working our way through the fairly extensive list of "signature" restaurants (signatures are Disney's "real" restaurants scattered around the property. Most are $100-$200 per person maybe, after drinks. Victoria & Alberts at the highest end is $500+ per person and 6 month in advance reservations). We also go every halloween (probably not this year) and stay at Ft. Wilderness. It's absolutely insane trick or treating. People turn camp sites into straight up hunted house build outs and people are out giving adults shots and kids candy. It's basically a giant thousand acre street party. Ultimately our kids (and us) see it as a place we'll go and hang out at for a few days where we all agree to put our phones and computers away. Sometimes that means going to the park if there's something the kids really want to do or someone hooked us up with tickets (frequent when you live around here). Christmas at Epcot is pretty special, for instance, and the water parks in the summer are affordable and mostly empty now that Universal built their baller one.
It's the same fucking guy that said black people should be moved to an island. I don't know why he's allowed to still post here. He's a racist piece of shit.
Yeah, taking advantage of things in our backyard in a way that makes memories for our kids is fucking terrible. We should just stay home more.
had no idea who this was but damn she looks gorgeous. So I looked her up. Tommy Lee was apparently engaged to her, broke up with her and then four days later married Pamela Anderson holy fuck I am jealous of rock stars
People have bad days and lose their shit and probably shouldn’t be judged based solely on their worst moments. Having said that, that t-shirt has me convinced that this guy is just an asshole.
And IF it holds that kids are less likely to become infected, we will see case counts go wayyy down. Which is also what the WH wants.
I'm not saying you should stay home, it just sounds fucking awful to me. I'm actually in the delivery room with my wife right now. Will probably have to do Disney once, but might die if I have to do it a lot. Much prefer to blow vacation elsewhere. I did say I was glad you're enjoying it. People can like different things, never said you're terrible for doing it... Just I'd hate that Disney ppl are weirdly defensive
Three month head start on New York in terms of reaching devastating levels of covid. What competent leadership—vote GOP!
K-12 schools arne't testing. Don't hold your breath. CDC guidance is NOT to test teachers or anyone else in K-12 schools.
Does anyone have a good source for death rate trend? I can find total cases and deaths but not death rate.
1point3acres is good too https://coronavirus.1point3acres.com/ Zoom in to see growth rate. Deaths doubling every ~70 days now.
Currently on quarantine awaiting test results. Is drowseyness a common symptom of this thing? Outside of a very minor fever yesterday morning, my only other symptom is just sleeping nonstop. Like I can't stay awake. Just typing out this post was a struggle.
When she and her husband/son tested +, ATL mayor said her husband had been sleeping for most of several days.
A calculated death rate is going to vary based off testing capacity in different areas. Not sure it’s going to really tell you much.
i wouldn’t take the death rate as fact now when you have states with 15000 cases in a day and a supposed 40 deaths better to just look at trends imo
Do you think it’s more likely cases are being inaccurately labeled Covid or deaths are being unreported? I’m just asking because you hear so much misinformation out there it’s hard to know what’s valid or not. My buddy’s grandmother had pneumonia, the doctor said she had Covid. They all thought she had Covid then her results came back and she tested negative but the doctors would not change her Covid positive. I have no doubt this is still an issue we don’t have under control but I think big picture it’s a lot easier for positive case numbers to be inaccurate than death numbers be inaccurate.
Drowsiness was first one I noticed. I’m a morning person and it was hell to wake up at 5:30 the week before I tested(technically 2 weeks prior to finding out I was positive)
you know what seems more unlikely? the fact that there have been like a 500% increase in pneumonia and pneumonia deaths this year when there’s a global pandemic going around with the same symptoms imo iyam
Be careful with this one as I stated in this thread much earlier. I had your same symptoms with some crazy back pains also. Took 2 antibody test only to reveal both as negative. Turns out I had some seasonal laziness set in.
cdc website reports under 1000 pneumonia deaths (I think it was in the 900s) each of the last 4 years in Florida from February-May. This year we had between 4000 and 5000. So we had more this year than the previous 4 years combined. Similar numbers in Texas and Georgia. Those are the only states I’ve seen people do the research for. It’s in this thread somewhere, on twitter, or you can go to the CDC website and do the research yourself. there is a bare minimum of 3000 covid deaths in Florida that weren’t properly diagnosed so they aren’t in the death stats. Very likely there are even more than that.
it could be pneumonia but given how fucking infectious covid is, its much much more likely its covid i have covid and i followed virtually every guideline
There’s also the fact that MDs who see a ton of cases of a particular disease are adept at diagnosing it without having to have a test run. That’s why they are MDs. In Lombardy a Doctor said patients would come in with obvious Covid and sometimes the tests would come back negative because the tests have a 30% false negative rate.
Guy on my work team is 50+ and lives in Scottsdale. Shit is on fire there and he was apparently at a house party watching the fights last night. To say that he's a dumbass would be an understatement.
There are dozens of replies to this tweet blasting remdesivir and pumping up HCQ/Zinc. Am I naive in thinking these have to bots? Like, there can’t be this many people just sitting around waiting for Doug Ducey to tweet about remdesivir so they can blast their HCQ hype, right? Which then leads me to, who is running this boy network and why.
