the age rollout in the spring was based upon supply tho was it not? that presumably isn’t a problem now
Members of the committee expressed doubts about the safety of a booster dose in younger adults and teens, and complained about the lack of data about the safety and long term efficacy of a booster dose. https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/coronavirus-vaccine-booster-news-09-17-21/h_3b0565c31f2e8529cfdc252f07bc6671 Someone translate that for me? Not enough data?
If these are the risk factors then it's definitely going to be kind of a hodgepodge of people claiming whatever they want just like when the first shots rolled out.
the vast majority of the country has a BMI over 25 boosters for everyone but via a bank shot methodology
Lmao that we dont have a national database of these data like israel and germany and havr to rely on submissions from pfizer
It’s so dumb they did this again. They’re going to come back in a few months and say everyone needs to get a booster and the anti vax people are gonna jump all over it and a bunch of people who got the first 2 doses may not get the booster now.
My brother is in DC doing the tourist thing. He sent me these cool pics. I forgot we were doing this.
Just to reiterate I don't know if this is actually what they recommended wrt risk factors, I just found it on Twitter.
i first came to learn about how our medical system makes research very difficult to do when working at a cancer center all the best major studies come from not here because nationalized systems are so efficient for data collection
Why are people asking for permission itt? 2 million people already got booster shots. Talk to your doctor and get a shot.
because people want to do right and not get caught off guard when someone starts asking them questions at their appointment
I signed up a few weeks ago as a healthcare worker to get my booster Monday. Still planning on getting it then.
So I'm reppin Pfizer and seeing the Moderna Mafi has me side eyeing that club. Anyone know of people that have changed teams?
Is there a reason why doctor offices shove the swab so far up your nose compared to the at home tests? got tested (again) today and it was very unpleasant.
This Nursing Reddit thread is really dark, it was a top thread for r:nursing: RNs out of school are senior staff in some of the hard hit hospitals in overwhelmed areas within 1-2 years. I don't think I fully appreciated how much damage ignorant areas of this country are doing to their health care system and workers, and therefore the quality of care available them. Living in a blue city in a now pretty blue state had me more insulated than I thought. Hard to imagine how I could've chosen a worse thread to read in my chemically altered state. Join my misery.
Anyone had diarrhea or vomiting as a precursor to COVID? One each in our family has it this morning, but everyone else is fine. Think it was probably my cheese curds, but...
Nice try, they spin it to a literal interpretation of the bible and say either or both of these flollowing, it only refers to leprosy and/or it is only prescriptive to those infected. And then they go eat a bacon cheeseburger for lunch, which Leviticus also says not to do.
My BMI is 27 but dropping like a rock. technically the healthy thing for me to do is go back to eating like an asshole for the next week or two to make absolutely sure I can get the booster, right?
or just lie because the chances of some walmart pharmacist weighing you to confirm are practically zero
Conjecture, but we think our neighbor retired (flight attendant) rather than get vaxxed. She had Covid previously and almost had to be intubated. Was on supplemental oxygen at some point bad. The irony is that she had a retirement party, or what we think was a retirement party. Since then, she hasn’t left her house, so it’s entirely possible she caught it again (10 months later).
