Daughter has an upset stomach and a dry throat. School called and said she and my son ( who feels fine ) need to go home. Don’t need to do a test right away but need to monitor symptoms.
Call your CVS, in my instance, I simply had to confirm I met the recommended criteria for the booster. I signed the paper, and they gave me the shot. It was nothing major.
Are you talking about adding a 3rd moderna on top of 2 previous moderna? I was trying to think if the UK/Israel/etc. had any studies on 3rd moderna after 2 pfizer shots. Can't remember.
Hoping my wife and I can get Moderna boosters by November 9th. Will be traveling to see family for thanksgiving. We both got Moderna 2nd dose April 10th.
I’m Pfizer and not at 6 months for another 3-4 weeks but I would wait for the guidance for Moderna ..don’t see a reason to rush and get a larger dose if they think you only need half. but then again I have some Shot fatigue , been jabbed w Tetanus , 2 Pfizers, and the Flu last week in a 7 month span.
We all kinda knew this from the previous papers posted a while ago about acquired immunity of one vs another variant and stuff like the cdc study where like a third of unvaxxed people dont even end up producing antibodies but its good to hammer the point home more
Conversation just had with one of my really good friends. He is not vaccinated and I know it Me - “I need some help with some work stuff at my house and storage. But until Levi is able to be vaccinated, you won’t be able to come into the house.” Him - “That is fine, I understand. But I do have natural immunity as I have had covid twice.” Me - “So answer me this, if you have natural immunity, how did you get covid the second time?” Him - “For the sake of our friendship, I think it is best that we do not talk about covid & the vaccine anymore. I will see if I can help out because I need the extra money and will respect the boundaries you have set for your son.” Me - “For the sake of our friendship, I am going to say this one thing as if something ever happened to you and I had not spoke my peace about it, I would never forgive myself. I love you and you should get vaccinated, as by your own words and personal experience, natural immunity with covid is not even close to a guaranteed thing and is in direct opposition to science and medical data. We can move on now.”
Saw on Reddit that hitting a vein when giving IM injection Could explain the myocarditis with the vaccine. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34406358/
Clearly they don't believe that about themselves or else they'd get the vaccine. Also I really really want those people to die
Just my opinion, but aspiration literally takes 1 sec. It should be performed on injection of any drug that is not intended to be given intravenously.
after sticking the person, before pushing in the plunger you pull back on it, if you are in a vein blood will come into the syringe and you know not to inject
depends on the policy, but most aspiration is a thing of the past for vaccines and IM injections. Just not any vessels there large enough to hit
Hitting a big enough vein in the deltoid to actually deliver a vaccine intravenously is as close to impossible as about anything. Yeah they teach drawing back before you inject but I think that's based on, like, ONE case report ever of delivering some lidocaine into a vein once accidentally. And it sure as shit wasnt square in the middle of someone's deltoid.
pperc anyone else who might now or have an opinion. I was wondering what you guys think about running races right now? I want to run LA in 2022 but I’m hesitant. I’ll be bostered but by two youngest won’t by grandkids might not even have a shot. Do you guysthink it’s irresponsible to run a race with all those people?
Your outside, boostered, most races do staggered starting now, thinks it is ok to live your life man. You can easily control the contact and distance between you and others.
my concern is my kids who won’t be boostered and the grand kids who might not be vaccinated. Just wondering if I could give them something.
always a chance but your outside, in an environment you can control your exposure. Very slim likelihood of being exposed and then you have the vaccine. You have probably done countless more things more worrisome than running a race.
idk I’m asking for help from individuals who might be more knowledgeable. I just don’t want to put anyone I love in danger. So I thought I’d ask a covid related question in the Covid thread.
predictions with this virus have been wrong before but March 2022 in a State with one of the higher vax rates will probably be in a good place
