Holy fucking shit. I have only gotten 1 hour of sleep tonight. The pain in my foot is so bad that it hurts when even laying down. I have almost thrown up multiple times. I have been alternating Tylenol and Ibuprofen along with ice & cold packs. Calling doctor first thing in morning. Have no clue if this is covid related joint issues but timing is highly suspect. Did not do anything to foot on Sunday and literally woke up early Monday morning with the pain.
Top of the arch.... you mean in the arch (plantar fascia) or over the dorsal aspect of your midfoot (side pointing away from the ground). Ball of foot- You mean the bottom of the joint of the first toe (sesamoiditis/gout/turf toe) or second toe (plantar plate tear) The reason I asked about gout is usually when you have someone complaining of that much pain insidiously and they won't even let me touch it 99% of the time its gout or pseudogout
Saw a guy I went to highschool posting about the CDC admitting everything was a hoax and how they use fear to control us… this guy is at the top of a huge pyramid scheme making millions off people. See him post videos speaking in front of full arenas all the time. Wonder how many people he is responsible for killing by downplaying this in his position. That’s on top of the countless desperate people he has taken money from in his scheme. Real winner.
Sometimes it's hard to isolate where the pain is coming from exactly...but if it's from the joint in your big toe or your ankle, that definitely sounds like a gout attack. Used to get them regularly, haven't had one in about 6 years now. Mine was always in the ankle, but seems like most people have it from their big toe.
“Covid toes” and peripheral neuropathy are sometimes symptoms of COVID infection. I had some foot pain post my COVID symptoms but it wasn’t severe.
So things that could be that make sense with no traumatic event Morton's neuroma (specifically in between the third and fourth toes), stress fracture, calcific tendonitis/pseudogout
Stress fractures hurt more at night, morton's neuroma hurts when walking barefoot and squeezing the heads of the metatarsals together (and radiates into the toes) and then pseudogout hurts like a bitch all the time and can be red/inflamed/look infected
How quickly will pain subside? I am about to put my foot in a wood chipper over here to get some relief.
what are the estimated numbers in SC? This thread and also Jill popping positive where she also only went in a store once
That was a conference about teacher recruitment? And its a bunch more white guys a cop in the background?
Hes trying to show hes backed by common, everyday people. Which is irrelevant for teacher recruitment.
Think my 2.5+ year run avoiding covid is over, last night got a sore throat (tested negative but I know it takes a few days to show) and it's worse now waking up. Had minor diaherrea yesterday during work but thought nothing of it. Double pfizered and boosted last year right after Thanksgiving, hope this shit goes away soon enough.
It finally got our house. Both kids with low fevers during the night (of course they woke up at different times crying) and popped positive this morning. They’re fine ever since Motrin kicked in and back to fighting with each other like normal wife and I were negative, but she called for a sub to be safe
Oh - and the district doesn’t cover Covid days anymore so she has to use her sick time. Definitely going to be people who know they have it, but feel fine and didn’t want to burn those days going into teach
Pretty smooth sailing for me. Kid got it and had a rough day Sunday but was better by Monday. Yesterday I picked up a wicked headache for about 8-10 hours but started subsiding and I finally took advil, feel like 95+% this morning.
wife and I feel bad. Our oldest said Monday morning he was tired and didn’t want to go to school. He did the same yesterday. No symptoms. We just assumed he wanted to stay home (school started 8/10.) he probably actually didn’t feel great Monday or yesterday either. Besides the minor fever, he is pretty much normal today. Youngest has been mostly fine since Motrin kicked in, but I can tell she isn’t 100% If wife and I test negative tomorrow morning, is there any reason she can’t go into work? She will stay home again, but what is the thinking these days? If she tests negative Friday morning?
It can be hard to tell with kids. My son will act like he feels awful one minute and then want to go outside and throw the baseball outside the next. ARE YOU SICK OR NOT?
My son now has Covid. Symptoms started Sunday and he tested positive Tuesday. He was fine most of the time just a little grumpy some. He’s developed a rash this afternoon but his doctor won’t see him until tomorrow, they told us to call if he developed a rash. Anyone else had this happen to their child?? 2.5 year old.

Sure enough, kid missed the first day of school and they dropped him from all classes, revoked all his access including email. So he can’t see if teachers reply to his absence, if he even gets to keep those classes, can’t see the colleges emailing him, and they won’t fix it until he returns, likely next week. This is the dumbest fucking policy. As for COVID, nothing horrible for any of us. Coughing the only real symptom at this point. Hopefully that’ll go away soon.
Wife and I have taken a test last three days and are negative each time. Son is perfectly fine, but his tests lights up positive instantly still. Youngest still has an on and off low grade fever and grumpy but hers barely registers the positive line after several minutes weird disease
I went to bed Tuesday night not even being able to put a sheet over my foot because the weight & pressure it placed on my foot/toes was too much to handle. Then I woke up Wednesday morning and it was noticeably better. Like I could wall slowly without any sort of favoring of my foot. If I walked fast, pain still. Went to doctor and got x-rays and blood work done. Yesterday and today, no pain at all, just a little bit of stiffness. X-rays showed nothing and still waiting to hear blood results. Thanks for asking.
You can see peri-articular erosions (gout), calcium deposits (pseudogout), periosteal reactions (stress fracture) or big freaking tumor (MEGACANCER) a.tramp megacancer only included for internet message board comedic relief
Oh dear, just got a text notification that a prescription has been submitted by my dr. Now I am scared.
