Redneck, southern governors and their red state constituents will be last in and first out of shelter in place.
30k new cases again today.
I almost feel like with or without fans there isn't much difference with something like cfb. Cfb teams are so big on their own with how many people have to interact with each other on a day to day basis. It seems like there will need to be a vaccine for it to happen
New Orleans is 59.7% AA.
Our system is so brutally racist. It's unreal
Honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked if there was 80k deaths by the end of April. Logarithmic growth is a motherfucker. But yeah, 80k by August, while shitty, would be better than that scenario. Still think football is fucked for 2020 because of a) the likely fall wave and b) because of the minimal margin for error. All it takes is one player/coach/ref to test positive to fuck it all up.
is 59.7 more or less than 70?
Piped-in crowd cheers of the '20s could be the laugh track of the '70s. Or maybe have apps where fans can tap a button(s) and those taps could be converted into cheers played over the speakers.
Only 28% though in Jefferson which was also hit hard.
i will only use this if there is an option to boo
Can't wait for twitch chat to be the norm for NFL cheering
I'm literally just adding facts to go with facts.
Let the victory lap begin
My complaint would be that they went from NY/TN to down there after knowing that Americans were at risk. Apparently they are in a house. They are self-isolated to some degree. Being down there, like you are, isn’t the issue. Many people are quarantined with 3-4 others (families or friends) and also drinking (inside or outside), no fault on the surface of that. Obviously I don’t have their day to day details.
I’m just asking questions here
This is me in May, hopefully.
Any chance that this thing actually has a naturally higher mortality rate with black people than other races? I know with some other diseases, race can be a risk factor in itself.
Can’t say I saw this one coming
It does, but that’s because obesity + kidney/liver/heart disease are all risk factors and have a high instance rate in that population.
Technically right now we aren't even supposed to be outside unless your last name begins with a letter that's scheduled to go to the store that day.
Like I said I don't care about anyone riding it out here, but don't post instagram pictures on the beach while the population is on mandatory quarantine.
tin foil time. Did we have any legit projections that had 1-2 million? All I saw was trump saying that and then saying 100-200 k would be a win. It seems like maybe there was never a real chance we’d get 1-2 million deaths and they made that up so whatever the actual number is, it will be season as a win.
Goddamn right we are. The South don't know when to quit. Hell it's 2020 and we've still got people fighting the War of Northern Aggression.
1-2 million is the completely unmitigated scenario projection that assumes that people won’t change behaviors at all in response to mounds of people dropping dead.
Probably covered later but I'm shocked
Multiple respected people put out that number as a possibility, most notably the guy from Imperial College. Think it assumed no measures would be taken and a crazy high death rate based on Italy’s results
like I said tin foil time. I just don’t think this administration deserves the benefit of the doubt with anything.
To me, numbers dropping means nothing except that we're doing a good job not overwhelming hospitals right now. No one has antibodies so if we get back ahead of this and reopen everything we'll end up right back behind it. We should be locked down until we have a vaccine or we have 60% antibodied population.
If Clay Travis is even close to being right, he’s going to even more obnoxious.
seems a little extreme to be anticipating injury faking like this
Those aren’t government projections, fwiw
The CDC had a worse case scenario model that had ~2m deaths.
he said under 1000 deaths total. He’s already incredible wrong even if no one else gets infected.
RGIII a big Barstool/Clay Travis fan?
what I meant is (before you guys told me) that I thought he’d completely made up the projections.
McMaster said people can still go to businesses that are open under his previous orders, including gun stores. He said he wouldn’t close gun stores because “It’s a constitutional right to have and bear arms.”
McMaster also said on Monday that he wouldn’t stop churchgoers from Easter services on Sunday, citing the First Amendment. But he encouraged church to stream services online, have church outdoors or otherwise ensure people social distance.
That’s Daniel Ocean ’s post, not mine
Yeah, boy did THF screw the pooch on that one.
He mentioned tin foil hat time....
figured I would create some extra conspiracy posts.
The best, smoothest numbers
I see your point, but it is also absurd that the President is asking questions. She mentioned what the person was inspector general of. I think that should be enough, but it is not about that. She probably did know but didn't want to out the name in his bullshit press rally, so that his base wouldn't put a target on the guys back.
Man if I got to have my country's leader in ICU I would be sooooooooooooo happy
Honestly, I’m glad somebody watches and then posts twitter clips because , like you, I like to know how wrong and awful he’s being.
But I just can’t stand to watch him live myself at this point. Too infuriating. I need the idiocy distilled into smaller doses.
the fact the UFC is trying so hard to still put on a big event in the next week or so is so on brand for that shit entity
I thought this was interesting
For those born in 1960, they will have a big reduction in their SS payments. Basically, it will stem from a massive reduction in the average wage index for 2020 which will in turn depress the bend points for their SS.

Dana White being a shit heel is not surprising
Yes, I almost feel like I have a civic duty to know even if it outrages me.
