Maybe, but it'll give them a lot of good will if they do offer a small bonus to anyone who gets vaccinated.
To follow back up on this (re: increased incidence of mental health symptoms in COVID), we’ve seen a significant increase in eating disorders in our child/adolescent population. Lots of admissions to the hospital with malnutrition requiring medical stabilization. Possible reasons for that include COVID-related changes in isolation at home with parents (who may be exacerbating/impacting these illnesses) and having little ability to control much else in their life (so they choose, consciously/subconsciously, to gain some control this way). It’s sad but quite fascinating. Please don’t take this as a reason that any of our restrictions/measures were wrong or incorrect, but rather another effect of this pandemic on the general population.
Received Moderna 1 last Friday and this morning the Covid arm phenomena kicked in. Rash and itch at injection site.
I had my wifes laminated and I'm going to do the same with mine after I get the 2nd. You could definitely make a fake vaccine card business easily.
24 hours later after moderna shot 2. Was fine yesterday. Some additional fatigue and muscle pain. Today I woke up with hot/cold episodes for a few hours. Got back in bed and slept for a few hours and still a lingering headache/muscle pain but feel like I turned the corner. Absolute no brainer to get the shot. Excited to feel a bit more confident in public in 2 weeks
You should be demanding your company to do it. Companies all over the country are doing it and it’s highly effective. It’s great for the individual and great for the company.
It’s all verifiable though. Like a fake ID, it might work at your corner liquor store but you aren’t using it to get through TSA/customs. The current little card isn’t the long term solution. There’s already databases for each state.
I guess I'm saying that I don't have confidence that the databases will talk to each other and/or be rolled out in an efficent amount of time.
We were told not to get ours laminated in case we have to get boosters later in the “other” spots on the card
I don't think it is very realistic for people to keep a paper card for months/years without it ruining.
Yes but they just make you a new one. Plenty of people have lost their cards in between shots. If that happens you show them your ID, they look you up in the database, and write you out a new card.
That’s why there’s a database. It’s not like gun control where there’s not enough lines in excel to keep track of every gun in America. They can keep track of everyone’s vaccine record electronically. It’s 2021.
I still have my original social security card from the 80's Let me tell you kids about these things called wallet inserts
It’s weird how much ink is spilled and how much handwringing takes place regarding black vaccine hesitancy when white republican males are vaccinated at lower levels.
LOL, I missed the word "social" in his post. I thought he was saying his corporate/work security card was paper. My ss card is paper like everybody else's. I am embarrassed.
But nobody should carry their SS card around. That's just stupid. The vaccine card will get a lot more use than your social security card.
