We had a very brief “no in person visits unless Urgent/emergent” and I got moved to ED duty.... Meanwhile I saw 10-15 virtual visits per day... and then our surge never happened so we have basically reopened but not seeing COVID possibles in person. Now do about 50% virtual visits/50% in person as of this week. I also do admin stuff related to our Covid response so that’s been 1-2 full days a week.

That's cute. AZ's previous high was 581 according to google, the last two days were flirting around 500 +/-, today's new cases number is 702.
he tested positive yesterday. mgmt determined that “close contact” with him was measured as “being within 6 feet for 15 mins or more” and thus sent one (1) other person home to quarantine masks still aren’t required just encouraged
6 feet for 15 mins is considered exposed? Shit, okay, I'm gonna run through the COVID ward taking deep sucks of breath, touching everything and rubbing my face, so long as I don't hang out with a single infected individual for over 14 mins and 59 seconds.

Looks like we get to test the whole warm weather and outdoor gatherings create lower attack rates/less transmission theory in action. For Science! Thanks, Missouri! (I’m actually serious, we need to know how dangerous these types of scenarios actually are, these people willingly volunteered to be in an important real life trial. If I were state officials, I’d be swabbing every single one of those people who would sign up and swab them all symptomatic or not 14 days from now).
Is an antigen test available yet? A UAB doctor I know hinted that one would be here "soon", but didn't have a timetable.
They are starting to see some concerning community spread in the farming communities down here in Collier County.
it's available and widely being used, coming from multiple different companies. You can order one from a national lab company and get it drawn locally. YMMV. The problem is some of the commercial ones are garbage, and if your community hasn't really been affected by high rates of COVID, the actual predictive value of a positive test can be as low as 50/50 if it's real or fake, even with one of the accurate tests.
Pretty wild how fast we went from stay at home to mass protests. The spike from these is either going to be enormous or lead to everything being 100% back to normal
I’m honestly amazed actually reading more about this. The three conservative judges dissented and believe churches are being unfairly treated because they are not being treated the same as grocery stores, manufacturing, and other essential businesses.
pperc am i ok attending a rally tomorrow? genuinely on the fence about this. they’re handing out masks but I imagine there will be a whole heap of ppl edit: the facebook even says ~500 attending. i would anticipate at least twice that
just bring a mask and hand sanitizer and wash your hands good before and after going but most importantly don’t listen to a chud like GK
If churches are essential businesses we can impose every tax possible on them right Brett? I'll hang up and listen.......
