CoronaVirus Disease (COVID-19) Thread : Fuck em, should’ve gotten vaccinated

We had a very brief “no in person visits unless Urgent/emergent” and I got moved to ED duty.... Meanwhile I saw 10-15 virtual visits per day... and then our surge never happened so we have basically reopened but not seeing COVID possibles in person. Now do about 50% virtual visits/50% in person as of this week.

I also do admin stuff related to our Covid response so that’s been 1-2 full days a week.

(I’m actually serious, we need to know how dangerous these types of scenarios actually are, these people willingly volunteered to be in an important real life trial. If I were state officials, I’d be swabbing every single one of those people who would sign up and swab them all symptomatic or not 14 days from now).

it's available and widely being used, coming from multiple different companies. You can order one from a national lab company and get it drawn locally. YMMV. The problem is some of the commercial ones are garbage, and if your community hasn't really been affected by high rates of COVID, the actual predictive value of a positive test can be as low as 50/50 if it's real or fake, even with one of the accurate tests.

 

Pretty wild how fast we went from stay at home to mass protests. The spike from these is either going to be enormous or lead to everything being 100% back to normal

 

I’m honestly amazed actually reading more about this. The three conservative judges dissented and believe churches are being unfairly treated because they are not being treated the same as grocery stores, manufacturing, and other essential businesses.
