When does Cuomo's next Profiles in Courage book come out? Just give out the fucking shots to teachers or supermarket employees
Cuomo would likely be a centrist-y Republican in most other states. He whines and bitches almost as much as Trump about being mistreated.
im being sent on a work conference to Florida in 3 weeks, it’s mandatory and in person Im gonna look like Romney on the plane
I promise it’s happening everywhere because of staffing issues and no guidance or help planning for the rollout
jfc, like I said, Andrew Cuomo would be a Republican in most other states. He is a fucking petulant bitch that has to run everything just like Trump, he deserves absolutely no credit for how he's handled any of this.
I'm not disputing the spirit of this but let's not talk in terms that suggest Trump "has to be in control" like he's some sort of maniacal control freak. He's a vindictive know nothing piece of shit, not a know-it-all who insists on doing things to his spec.
Whatever, Cuomo is being repeatedly told by the mayor of NYC that his insistence on implementing this strict policing of priority is causing harm and is refusing to budge. Yes, he's not Trump, but he is a very awful human being and my point about him being a Republican in other states is to hammer home the point that he is playing politics with a fucking pandemic ravaging the country. I hope his legacy is one of us remembering him being an evil and petty bitch and not someone who got the media to wet themselves over some press conferences he held in March and April.
Her sentence was reduced from 4 months to 2 months. She should be in jail until early to mid February. If she has been released early the authorities have managed to keep it quiet.
Well I’m experiencing some COVID-like symptoms - chills, nausea, bad stomach ache. Though in the past when I’ve had a bad stomach ache, nausea has been common and chills occasionally, so it could just be a bad stomach ache as the chills and nausea have started to lessen in severity.
Not sure why the tweet got deleted but it was a screengrab of part of the article https://www.timesunion.com/news/art...15854088.php?IPID=Times-Union-HP-CP-Spotlight
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/08/politics/biden-vaccine-strategy/index.html this doesn’t make sense at all
Makes sense to me, given how widespread COVID is right now you need to not worry about having those second doses available and more on getting as many people the first dose as possible. A lot of states are holding back vaccinating people who willingly want it because they need to have enough second doses for all the high priority patients. If everything is going well with manufacturing, a ton of second doses should be available to people by late February/early March.
but it’s not going well. Someone just posted how New York had to throw vaccines away. States can open up to more people any time they want. Use the doses they have first.
They could open up the doses to even MORE people if they weren't concerned about having enough second doses available for those same people. You can change the priority schedule immediately if you have double the amount of doses available, the priority schedule only exists because we don't have enough vaccine for shots and that is caused by the current administration making sure that states get enough doses later for every single person who is getting a shot now.
Personally, I’d like to see us open the doses and then put pressure on the manufacturers to produce more rather than the other way around.
I mean Pfizer and Moderna have said they would be able to produce a tremendous number of doses over the next couple of months. I completely agree, I also don't think if people have to wait an extra few days to get their second shot that it will completely negate the effects of the vaccine.
my only issue is if they say you need a 2nd shot/booster 3-4 weeks later and what if that's no longer available?
I'm making several assumptions but given how few people are choosing getting vaccinated right now I'm hopeful that this won't be a problem while Pfizer and Moderna are chugging out new doses.
The article describing the new administration's desire to expand the availability cites using the DPA to ramp up production of everything required, so I imagine they are giving plenty of thought to making sure the second doses are available in suitable timeframe.
Ohio State turning the basketball arena into a vaccine center...hope to be able to give out up to 3,000/day when supply allows....
Had a conversation tonight about when things will get back to the previous normal. I don’t think things will be back to normal even by the beginning of 2022. What do y’all think?
Everyone going to bars, ballgames, and restaurants without masks. Back to the regular classroom routine for students without interruption.
Stop anti-vaxxers from operating within society and we'll be good by mid to late summer imo. Because that won't happen it'll be longer.
Here in AZ it'll probably be in the summer or fall. Maybe not for large-scale events but I can go to a bar or restaurant right now and aside from the mask it's pretty normal. Not saying that's a good thing but it'll be a faster return to normal than for other parts of the county I think.
