Well it’s here so it’s only a matter of time. I’m so tired of the bad news. We’re almost there with the vaccine but it seems we could be facing another double in deaths and cases per day before it’s over. And people are just going on with their lives and don’t give a fuck
(Fwiw their "lockdown" wasn't much of a thing...)
Neither was ours
Totally. I'm just saying...
At least we believe the vaccine is effective against the variant. That's something good.
That pharmacist that spoiled vaccines in Wisconsin sounds mentally ill.
if you believe in nothing but Conspiracy Theorys. You need to be in psych ward
So i tested negative. Have all the symptoms and now have been in contact with 2 covid + people. False negative or something else?
Probably a false negative. What type of test?
Nasal swab. Had it done on tuesday
when was your exposure and when did you start experiencing symptoms?
Were results returned within an hour or did you wait a day or 2 for them?
Given the amount of Covid right now, if you have Covid symptoms it is most likely Covid. This is in contrast so say last March when Covid numbers were lower.
Christmas eve started experiencing symptoms new years eve. Started as a cough and fatigue. Then the rest increased on saturday. First thought it was a cold but then the chills and nausea with a fever kicked in sunday afternoon. Didnt even feel like driving on monday. Went and sat in the car line for 2.5 hrs first thing Tuesday morning after being up most of the night coughing on Monday.
Got results thursday night
Where i live we are first in the country in cases per 100k
Neither I nor my wife had any symptoms after the second vaccine shot. That being said, several of my coworkers have complained of symptoms after their second shot, the most common being chills and a light fever. I still think they’re wimps though
Very odd that your test came back negative. You could get another if you wanted absolute certainty but it sounds like you have it. Follow the isolation guidelines and once you feel better I’d get another test to confirm your negative (this is also tough since you could test positive after your symptoms subside). Hope you have a speedy recovery and you’re pumping full of antibodies soon.
Probably a false negative. Quarantine yourself for 10 days from symptom onset.
must not have touched your brain
Good to hear. I'm still blinded waiting on to get scheduled and I'm wondering if I got the real vaccine. Which vaccine did you all receive?
Pfizer. Moderna people will start getting their second doses late next week I believe
Like everything Desantis touches, the vaccine rollout has failed miserably
My sense was Florida was actually doing much better than most states in vaccine rollout. A friend in Orlando (30s, healthy) says he could go get a vaccine right now if he wants. Plus unlimited testing at drive up locations. That said, he also said most people are choosing to not be vaccinated.
Where in Orlando can he get vaccinated, because I (having an auto immune disease) have not been able to find any appts
is your friend a doctor? Connected to a hospital exec? My 75 year old dad can’t get a vaccine. Websites to sign up crashed minutes after launching because the local health departments don’t have any money to build a half decent system.
no one in any major city that I’m aware of who doesn’t work in a hospital or who isn’t over 65 can get the vaccine. In Tampa and st pete, you had to be lucky to log in during a very small window and be 65+ or work at a hospital.
My wife has volunteered to administer vaccines here in Orlando and helped several young people who said they worked in dentist offices. So I’m not sure what all is going on
My buddy is fire rescue and they gave him and the others working the super bowl the first doses provided to the county fire department haha
He had two suggestions:
call 850-583-2419 (Covid results number, he said they offered him vaccine when they called with results)
He also said he was offered through his doctors office which I will find out and PM you info
no, he’s an attorney. I’m not sure he’s being 100% truthful but I will find out.
I do know my 80 year old Aunt w conditions got vaccinated through her neighborhood association. Ft Lauderdale area.
It’s clear supply issues are real. But it does appear far better than in the northeast for some reason.
I think it’s important to acknowledge that a specific story is not indicative of the entire state. I have 3 testing places within a mile of my house but I know not everyone in Florida has access to that. My wife’s grandma got vaccinated right away but if you look at where she got vaccinated now it says all appointments are full. No idea how many doses they have or when appointments will be open again. My dad got vaccinated but he went to the VA. It’s really easy to hear of one positive or negative story and assume that must be how it is everywhere in the state but that’s not true.
I think that’s right
My dad is 67 and is currently in a line of 13k in Leon Co to get it
my GI doc said he'd give me a script if I needed it but he didnt have a way of overriding the county restrictions (which are currently 65+)
Texas has the doses but they continue to sit on the shelves due to a lack of staffing to administer the doses as well as confusion on who they are allowed to give them to
Can these states not bring in close to graduating nursing students to give these shots? THis shouldn't be this hard.
My dad is an 83 year old dialysis patient in Los Angeles County and I can't get any info on when he will be vaccinated.
The National Guard exists for a reason.
It’s Texas. They’re busy training for the Antifa invasion
Last I heard, the antifa buses were headed for Boise. Did they receive new orders?
Sorry man - I hope he is able to get it and have a positive outcome.
We’ve (LA) been a continual embarrassment through this crisis.
My mom got her 1st shot today
They’re everywhere man
Wife got Pfizer dose 1 here in MI today
Not that anyone gives a shit, but 48 hours after my 2nd shot I feel completely normal. Hype was overrated about second shot being worse.
Your prior infection might’ve made your first shot worse than the second.
Buddy of mine got his second dose Friday. He never had any symptoms other than arm pain like a flu shot on his second.
Glad to hear. I get my 2nd shot of Pfizer Tuesday. Scheduled it between patients, so planning on feeling fine.
