Nobody you know has ever gotten Covid either but he probably knows of someone who has died from it it’s not about you ya dickhead. Protect and serve by getting the fucking vaccine
The only people cops are interested in "protecting and serving" are themselves and other cops. They see the general public as the enemy especially minorities. The greatest lie ur ever taught in school is that cops are good trustworthy people. I feel safer around criminals.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/f...ine-may-get-approval-in-two-weeks-11611443596 What has been the early word on J and J vaccine? Does it have the same type of success as the two that have been approved?
I believe the answer is not quite as high of success rate but still good but the benefits are only one shot needed and the storage requirements are more manageable.
Currently on my second quarantine of having this shit. Once in July and now again. Shit sucks. Hopefully people are getting vaccinated
It’s been a little worse. First time cough was worse, but flu like was more mild. Second time flu like symptoms are worse, but cough hasn’t been as bad. Flu like symptoms lasting like 4 or 5 days this time. First time is was like 2
Mainly hate it for my kids. This is their 4th time in strict quarantine. Twice because of my results and twice because of school and kids in their class
We’ve had to strict quarantine twice (wife and son got it months apart) and I thought that was awful, Jesus at 4 times
Does strict quarantine mean you are only supposed to leave the house if you have to see a doctor over COVID or some other health emergency?
So how is Utah so good at preventing covid deaths? They are 3rd in the country in cases per million but 46th in deaths per million.
Mormons usually don’t drink or smoke Utah as a whole is incredibly healthy when compared to say the Midwest
7 day average is down from 279k on 12/31 to 167k now. Think this is a trend that is here to stay with the vaccine and holiday surge dying down or do you think we will see another spike?
imo we are on the downslope of the holiday surge. I think we will not experience another national surge for a couple of months, unless one of the variants takes off. Spring Break might be the next one. Local surges will happen here and there depending on local circumstances. edit: WhiskeyDelta beat me to the Spring Break possibility.
CA stay-at-home order lifted today, going back to the color tier system, I guess I can work out inside again yippee Stay-at-home orders for all regions across California have been lifted amid improving coronavirus conditions, the California Department of Public Health said Monday. “Californians heard the urgent message to stay home as much as possible and accepted that challenge to slow the surge and save lives,” Dr. Tomás Aragón, CDPH director and state public health officer, said in a statement. “Together, we changed our activities knowing our short-term sacrifices would lead to longer-term gains. COVID-19 is still here and still deadly, so our work is not over, but it’s important to recognize our collective actions saved lives and we are turning a critical corner.” Now that stay-at-home orders are lifted, counties in California revert back to following the county tier system, which loosens restrictions depending on COVID-19 case rates and test positivity. With the stay-at-home order lifted, restaurants in the Bay Area, Southern California and San Joaquin Valley can resume outdoor dining. Hair salons and barbershops are also able to reopen and outdoor church services are allowed. The Greater Sacramento region's stay-at-home order was lifted earlier this month and the Northern California region never went into lockdown. The decision comes with improving trends in the rate of infections, hospitalizations and intensive care unit capacity as well as vaccinations. Gov. Gavin Newsom imposed the stay-at-home order in December as COVID-19 cases worsened. Under the system, a multi-county region had to shut down most businesses and order people to stay home if remaining ICU capacity dropped below 15%. The state makes the decisions based on four-week projections showing ICU capacity improving, but officials have not disclosed the data behind the forecasts. The majority of California's counties are in the state's most restrictive purple tier.
Would it be possible for the US government to nationalize the patent for the vaccine so other manufacturers or clinics could manufacture it? Similar to how we had rifles and tanks built by toy companies in WW2? *I know jack shit about how these things are made and who makes them
Wouldn’t need to do anything with patents. DPA can do it. But, these aren’t simple to manufacture. Would take a really long time
Holiday too. A few of my kid’s teachers at his Montessori school flew home for holiday. Both to South America. Both isolated for 14 days upon return before returning to school.
It’s irresponsible and this selfishness has led to and will end up with more people dying, so your sarcastic suggestion is what they honestly should have done. Jackass.
If they legit isolate when returning then fair enough. "Welp might've caught covid who knows gonna go about my regular daily activities as normal" when returning is partially why we're still dealing with it.
There’s a massive difference between going home to visit a loved one and: Some folks don’t have the privilege of working a job that allows them to be full on remote or live on the same continent as their family. As long as they’re following quarantine protocols when leaving and coming, it doesn’t seem like something to blow your lid over like you seem to want to
