My best friends wife and his MIL tested positive. He was negative. There was zero contact tracing done, no one from the county (Seminole) or state health dept. contacted him. He went back for a 2nd test on Wed. after testing negative last Thurs. They had no record of his first test and no record of his appointment for the retest. He said they went to a Centracare. I fucking hate FL
When someone from the State of Alabama called me to contact trace it they were only collecting info on immediate family in the home that were affected. I gave her the results for all of us so and then the next day they called the wife to do it all over again. I asked if she wanted to know about people outside the home I could have exposed and she said no they were no longer collecting that information.
We have such an outbreak at this point that idk how you could contact trace on 70,000 people everyday
Very true. Another issue here is with the college students. They move around so much and are exposing so many people.
Honestly, that’s why I assumed Ohio had the “purple” level for certain areas. Once it hits a certain point you can’t reasonably trace / test contain so you have to shut it down until you can. But that’s not what’s happening. They’ve given up and are making up new rules to keep things open.
That would make sense as seeing ourselves unable to track the spread being an inflection point but like you said, it seems we've given up.

ameliorate - make (something bad or unsatisfactory) better. For anyone else adding this word to their vocabulary

FBers: Hmmm. Cases and deaths going up right before the election? Hmmmm. This proves the Plandemic theory. We’ve been played.
I know that most predicted that things would get worse in winter regardless but the government just giving up is why I have 0 faith that we will have anything but a truly horrible winter.
I mean, Trump said himself last night the plan is just for everyone to live with it so no they’re not going to do shit
Biden doing a nice job laying out his COVID plan. It’s absurd though that the lame duck will result in like 50,000 avoidable deaths.
Went from only personally knowing my dad and one other person to have a confirmed case since it began to 7 friends/family members having confirmed cases in a week. 2 in AL, 2 in TN, 3 in the St Louis area.
More likely we see 100k+ than anything close to 50k. We are closing in on 1k a day and the cases are blowing up everywhere. Especially places without the greatest healthcare systems. we are better at treating the virus but some of the rural systems will get overwhelmed.
I’ve got five friends currently positive. I’ve had 11 friends that I know of who have been positive before these five.
Son tested negative on rapid test, but also took PCR test along with my daughter and we will get results on Monday. They’re getting a lot of false negatives on the rapid tests. Hopefully he’s good though
Utah set a new record today with 1,960 cases. The previous high was set yesterday with 1,543. We beat it by 417 cases. LOL. For the last week positivity has been close to 16%.
Fun times when it's "is this headache and chest tightness I've had for four days Covid, wildfire smoke, a sinus infection, or just anxiety?" I'll probably go get a test if I'm still feeling it Monday
The Dakotas. Their hot but psycho Governor needs to be publicly dragged through the streets like a toppled dictator
