Florida has now reported more cases in the past week — nearly 78,000 — than most European nations have in their entire struggle with covid-19

you’re barking up the wrong tree if you think I’ll argue otherwise. I’ve been on this rant my whole adult life.
Hucksters are out in full force... I sincerely hope no other school systems were tricked into buying UV lights for their A/C units:
ah, ok. Yes. The Pfizer vaccine is partnered with BioNTech and it’s extremely similar technology (mRNA) to Moderna.
There’s yard signs posted all over my neighborhood to join Meridian’s vaccine trial. I’d imagine it’s somewhat attractive to younger people that don’t make a lot of money
wife is sure she is going to die if she works this fall (which isn’t an unfounded belief) and even if she does her parents won’t watch the child since they have health issues and they can’t be exposed so we have no idea what we’re doing this fall and she’s really depressed and this shit sucks so much ass all republicans who enabled this shit should die
An argument has been made that it’s safe to open schools because kids don’t get it and don’t transmit it. It appears this contradicts those arguments.
This sounds like good news...Covid Hospitalization data will now be routed to the White House instead of CDC. https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/14/poli...tion-coronavirus-hospital-data-cdc/index.html
I don’t even know how to respond to this. So you’re saying you think it’s possible that the guards spread it to the kids exclusively? That whichever guard or guards brought it in somehow spread it individually to every juvenile prisoner and that there was no spread or spread from the prisoners to each other? Seems a) highly implausible and b) seems extremely difficult to determine. If I’m misinterpreting what you’re saying, please correct me.
Can you please point me towards the argument which states kids don’t get it? I haven’t seen that point made. I have read kids have had a much more mild reaction but that was argued to be due to their exposure to other CVs. I haven’t seen any data to say they can’t be infected and would like to read it if you have it available.
All the studies that keep coming out keep saying kids aren’t spreading the virus or at the very least aren’t super spreaders. That’s not my research but that’s what we keep seeing. Go take it up with the doctors in the covid info thread if you don’t like it
LOL yeah the guards are the only ones transmitting the virus. But, the kids got it right? So they can get it right?
schools all over the world are having to close back up but somehow we’ll be different. Somehow it will work out here.
so go back and read what I posted. I’ll make it easy. I’ll post it right here and bold the important part.
You can be mad if you want, but I didn’t do these studies Swiss study https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200710100934.htm germany study https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cn...us-infection-rate-low-german-study-finds.html I believe there is an Iceland study out there as well but it was a few months ago and Iceland had such low covid numbers I’m not sure if it’s validity
lol at Illinihockey and THF back to back posts. One saying where is the argument that kids don’t spread it and the other “hey kids don’t spread it”. Got to give it to our “oh no the economy” guys they cover all their bases.
you keep arguing against statements I am not making. Countries all over the world are having to shut down their schools because of outbreaks . That’s what I wrote. How does your post refute that?
Thank you. It seems they are summarizing the data from an Icelandic study and skewing the actual results. The study actually claimed as follows: “Men are much more likely to become infected than women. If women get infected, they do not get as sick as men. Children under 10 are less likely to get infected than adults and if they get infected, they are less likely to get seriously ill. What is interesting is that even if children do get infected, they are less likely to transmit the disease to others than adults. We have not found a single instance of a child infecting parents.” https://www.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk/blog/hunting-down-covid-19
I have no idea what you are claiming I am doing. I was simply asking what you were claiming saying someone argued kids couldn’t get the disease. The CDC proves that isn’t the case. 21 kids under the age of 14 have died from Covid. I think that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that kids can get covid.
