1,165 new cases of COVID-19, the most in a single day Broke our previous record of 1,117 positive cases that was reported on Tuesday, July 21 Sounds like a great time to open schools. Maybe the kids can go on field trips to the local ICU to visit the parents and grandparents they inevitably infect.
It’s sad that those numbers didn’t seem That bad to me. That just shows how bad Florida is right now. Hopefully it gets better. Hasn’t Wisconsin had a lot of issues with mandates being overridden or ignored? Unfortunately things usually continue to get worse when that happens. Stay safe.
On a zoom call with friends and the one who I suspect loves Clay Travis called it the biggest hoax ever. I silently facepalmed for America.
9 cases from the GA high school thst opened this week and suspended kids who posted pictures https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/pa...-9-covid-19-cases/X3FEDBYQ3FEA3F3TX5MMQD6E3Y/
probably a heck of a lot more than that have it now. And wait until a parent or teacher gets it and then dies
My friend is in DeKalb county in Decatur, he got tested Friday and got his results back Saturday, I was honestly shocked and wondering if he got a correct result because they did a normal PCR test. He had a positive result too, he only got tested because he had some chills on Wednesday and wanted to make sure even though he felt fine by the time he got tested Friday. He's been very safe but has a wife and kid, just shows how much this is ripping through the state right now.
This is crazy “So far, tigers at the Bronx Zoo and minks on Dutch farms seem to have caught COVID-19 from humans and, in the case of the minks, passed the virus back to humans who work on the farm.”
I’m not smarter than you, but I’ll respond. The described scenario is sound. The big caveat is that we are nowhere close to fully understanding this virus. It’s behavior long-term might not resemble the behavior of the viruses that are referenced.
Girl that's FB friends with my wife apparently went to Opry mills water park a few days ago. Big shock at these updates.
Cringed hard reading that. I'm guessing they're right wingers. Hope he's okay, but fuck I'm glad she's suffering to some degree after reading that first post.
One of my sister’s friends got Legionaries disease and Covid at the same time. He damn near died from it because they couldn’t treat his Covid with medications due to his high fever from LD.
Surprising that a surgical mask is 2nd best. Especially seeing that vs an N95 mask. N95 physically looks like a much better option than a surgical mask.
This guy has some more data on the undercounts in AZ/FL/TX. Never seen him posted here before so could be shitposting some nut job for all I know. I do see he revised his earlier data in Texas based on population growth which makes me think he isn’t awful.
This reminds me, I wonder if fall/winter will be particularly brutal when you get people with both flu and covid Are there any existing cases/data on that pperc RonBurgundy ?
What? Legionaries responds great to azithromycin and many other antibiotics. Also nothing really treats Covid very well. Australia having extremely mild influenza season so far. imagine a less contagious and less deadly virus but in an environment with masking and social distancing, increases in WFH and school at home. Should lead to fewer cases of flu, and this season should be a less severe flu season
Neighbor was convinced his gf had Covid back in February. He said nothing worked until she got a Zpack. I’m like bro, do you even bacterial vs virus?
Her first post is pretty much ... “I got it and it hasn’t been that bad and just want everyone to know.” As if your experience with the illness correlates to how someone else’s body will handle it.
That is definitely over my head but she said they didn’t think he would make it for a few days. Dumbass went deep sea fishing and drank tap water on the boat. She is fairly certain he contracted both diseases from that fishing trip.
I think there have been some cases seen of people who had both but I don’t recall if that increased the severity of the disease or not. I do recall seeing most countries following practices attempting to minimize Covid exposure (masks, hand washing, social distancing) have seen the effects to carry over and suppress Flu numbers alongside of Covid infection numbers.
