Agreed completely and a big part why we cancelled. The rate of expansion on sk and Italy has been insane
This could be really bad once it spreads to Syria. That country is in shambles and most of the population is going to be on its own to beat the virus.
I just meant that I’m going to monitor for the next few days. I’m not seeing anything saying I shouldn’t travel to Rome. Worst case I think we cancel the Florence leg and find somewhere else to go.
I'd argue that's not your worst case.... And you're right, the virus doesn't spread and will only be in one town
There have to be facebook posts circulating that Wuhan is just a ploy to force everyone to "vaccinate", thus poisoning the population, or controlling them, or whatever the anti-vaxxers think, right?
I asked before, but this is like a strain of the flu; once exposed and you recover from it, your body develops immunity to it, right??
Possibly not. That has not been confirmed. Speculation that it’s not like that. There has been a case of a recovered person testing +.
I hope you bought “Cancel for any reason” insurance. I am going to for my trip to see Liverpool vs Aston villa
We needed a miracle to beat them in October, and Barely best west ham yesterday, so I don’t expect a murder, but would welcome one
Yeah, so I saw my buddy who works on this at NIH (his colleague was mentioned in one of the Wash Post articles from yesterday). Anyway, he was "optimistic" on Sunday -- "the Chinese bought us a bunch of time, we now know what anti-virals work, peak flu will be over soon which will free up hospital beds, there's 2 vax trials going on right now, etc. etc." Yesterday he sent a doom and gloom email to my fiance (who also works in public health). So, idk what changed, and he probably wouldn't tell me if I asked, but I'm guessing they got data in from South Korea that changed the picture a little bit.
Villa was bad to begin with and have gotten worse. The are hopeless and heartless. Liverpool doesn't have much to play for but on pure talent alone can just show up and win by 3 goals.
the South Korea and Italy situations I think changed every ones thoughts on this SK was like we missed ONE PERSON and now we have nearly 1k cases
haven't read, but this seems good/important Coronavirus in Singapore: New post-recovery blood test finds missing link between 2 infection clusters straitstimes.com/singap...
yeah, tells me the Chinese were misleading (or simply miscalculating -- it's not easy) on the r naught value.
people think there's a degree of this at play in japan with kind of lackadaisical reactions from those in power and a seeming slow playing of testing despite robust evidence of community transmission
If I had any faith at all in our President and staff I wouldn’t be worried at all, but I feel like Trump will be worse than the Chinese when it comes to any US covid-19 data that could hurt the economy and his chance of reelection. His stoolies (Rush) are already in spin mode, gonna be interesting to see Fox News cover Coronavirus spread in the country or if they try to downplay it.
I plan my vacations around major new game releases to no life so my plans haven't changed, if anything the virus has reaffirmed my commitment.
Wife booked a cruise in July with the families of her three sisters. Ports are Jamaica and Bahamas. I’m counting on being in the tropics and outside of Flu season to save our lives.
When I’m elected, death panels for everyone ages 70+! but let’s be real, in the history of human civilization, the great population control has been pestilence and disease, with famine and war being a close 2nd and a distant 3rd.
Is this saying it is no bigger a deal than normal flu and where did this come from? I have a neighbor texting me if I've ordered N95 masks for me and my family
