I mean, it was only a couple days ago that Pfizer came out with their results from that study. Let the CDC parse through the data for a week or so.
My wife is giving vaccines and they had some couple that acted interested. Turns out the wife wanted one but the husband said neither would be getting it because it is killing people . We have so many fucking morons in this country.
Been dealing with random sometimes stabbing pains in random places throughout my body that typically dont ache (for about a week now)... headaches especially today... fatigue... Shit. Scheduled a test tomorrow.
https://www.fda.gov/news-events/pre...da-statement-johnson-johnson-covid-19-vaccine Another opportunity for anti-vaxxers to say the system is broken and the vaccine was rushed. In reality this is evidence that the monitoring system is working. Even with longer clinical trials the likelihood that an event occurring in 6 out of 7 million would have been observed is exceedingly unlikely.
pperc or @doctors. I got my second moderna shot on the same day that I pulled a muscle in my back. Is taking a muscle relaxer (tizanidine) a bad idea? I feel like hot garbage right now, but I'd rather deal with the discomfort than compromise my antibody process. Thanks!
Take the tizanidine. It’s not an anti-inflammatory and will not affect your vaccine response in any way.
Where can I get cliffs on the J&J info? I see a lot of takes flying around social media about it but i haven’t been following closely edit found in the vaccine thread
Wifes OB Told her shes safe to get one of the mRNA Vaccines due to there being a study out on pregnant women and on all the pregnancies within the hospital system, stating no adverse reactions thus far. So she joined the pfizer fam this afternoon.
My pregnant wife is fullyfully vaccinated with Pfizer. She just had her first round of doctors appointments since and everything is still looking good.
A nurse on my team was part of the study showing transferred immunity to offspring. Her son was born with Covid antibodies.
Agreed that this happens in utero and lasts ~ 2 weeks after birth. Not at all convinced breast feeding provides anything that’s protective.
pperc This text is from my sis. Any help with the wording of a rebuttal would be appreciated. She's drowning in scum bags.
The vaccine quite literally cannot give him Covid. It’s medically impossible. The J&J is an adenovirus that expresses a single Covid protein. The Covid test cannot detect the vaccine nucleic acid. If test was positive, he had Covid. Period. Covid gave him Covid. Complete coincidence and not at all a surprise given he was likely not taking any precautions.
At my work, this person would be terminated. We have no room for people like this. It shows poor judgement, which is a negative asset and a detriment to our success.
Unfortunately most of us don't have that luxury, I'd love to fire someone doing something that damaging as to actively encourage people to not get vaccinated.
Trump has told his "followers" to get the vaccine so just shame him for not following his dear leaders instructions by discouraging others.
Well if you’re in an at-will state, I’m sure there’s something you could conjure up to can their ass.
For someone like that guy for sure, but they're probably too chickenshit and worried about the PR. My MIL is in long term care facility now after staying with us. She's vaccinated along with most of the other residents, but the place isn't requiring vaccinations of their staff (they are offering incentives like gift cards). They just had an employee test positive during routine testing so the facility is mostly closed now. Thankfully my MIL hast tested negative since this, but it goes to show how no one in the fucking South is trying to mandate something that should be absolutely necessary.
That seems insane to open themselves up to liability if a staff member didn't get vaccinated, got sick, got a resident sick and they died.
I'm sure my wife had a sign a bunch of waivers because that could probably happen with other viruses. I don't think she found a single long-term care facility close enough by that was going to require staff to be vaccinated, at least when she was moving out. Obviously they all have to wear masks and I'm at least somewhat happy that the majority of the residents in the memory-care unit, where she stays, are vaccinated at least.
every company can do it. it's all about who is in charge. who do you want to work for. to me, it's their demonstration of poor judgement. that's why they would be fired. not covid vaccine, specifically. that's just the symptom.
Edited because I know you were referring to more than just forcing the vax, but the machinists and automation technicians here are all conservative af and I don't even have to ask if they're getting the vaccine, they're not. My old company who fabricated items in-house along with the fab shops I work with for parts now are always looking for help because they can't get people to even consistently show up for work. They've had to turn down work because they simply don't have the manpower, and it's been this way as long as I've been in the industry.
It’s like that everywhere. I hear it every day. In Tennessee, though, its usually because they aren’t paying them enough. You are also correct; these positions are usually held by extremely tight-wing people. And this is skilled-labor; you can’t throw just anyone in these roles; they have to be skilled and appropriately trained.
Ehhhh i hope there is some mechanism the kit comes with for reporting it to health services because otherwise im p worried about underreporting
So my sister is now anti Covid vaccine. Some OB told her it was causing breast lumps and bleeding. He is basically telling her its not worth the risk to get it.
That OB is almost, barely halfway there, but should understand that it's because lymph nodes get swollen as an immunological response: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/...ct-that-could-be-confused-with-breast-cancer/ and hey, boobs have lymph nodes very closeby
There is. You have to view the results of your test online or on an app and the data is shared with the CDC.
I do not. Let me see if I can find out. It’s really disappointing because she was planning to get one and now is like nope not happening.
that's fucking pathetic. i am raging that a doctor is telling patients not to be vaccinated. I will have their fucking license.
Don't waste your time. I reported a couple anti-vacc PCPs in my community to the board. Nothing came of it, unfortunately
