And Biden is told he has to modify his politics to cater to the kind of dipshits that are so brain poisoned that they would abandon a $3 million / year job because they bought into the stupidest lies from the stupidest people. There is no hope for this country.
watch Twitter for all the "just this moment I've decided I'm against at-will employment" bozos to come crawling out of the woodwork. is it too much or too little freedom when your company can fire you for any reason they want, inquiring minds need to know.
imagine explaining this to someone outside of this shitpile of a country. go to Eritrea or something and try to explain that we have the cure for a deadly disease and this man not only refused to take it but he gave up millions of dollars to do so. insanity. shit like this is literally why the rest of the world looks down on us and deservedly so.
Power 5 coaching job secured you several million dollars a year. And then you get that buy out if you suck and get fired. So yeah, pretty coveted
I'm going to keep posting because I'm still flabbergasted. once you're a HC you have to be demonstrably shitty for a loooooooooooooong time before nobody will hire you again as a HC or even a coordinator. the man was 42, if he coached to 60 I'd bet he would make 25-30 million minimum in that time frame. That is life-changing money that will affect your family for generations after you're gone. absolutely baffling decision for a multitude of reasons.
Other than currently being employed in the Pacific Northwest I don’t see this as a good cultural fit. He just needs to hold out for one of the eastern jobs to open.
He is pretty much your run of the mill rich guy turned pseudo intellectual So he does not have any rational or logical reasoning. Same for John Isner.
Isner's favorite politician is Ted Cruz. He is like a Daily Wire acolyte. most active American Tennis players are enormous chuds; and I correlate this directly to the decline in our quality.
Agree, but wonder why the religious exemption was denied. I know of several state employees - including doctors - at state research hospitals who claimed religious exemption as a reason not to get certain vaccines (mainly flu and covid). Usually they won't touch the religious exemption deal.
For reference. As of a few days ago Washington State had only approved 98 out of 437 religious exemptions. It’s not a slam dunk. Especially if you’re not sincere like Rolo obviously isn’t (won’t specify why he won’t get it).
How can you possibly approve some people for a religious exemption and not others? How can you judge sincerity on a religious exemption for a vaccine? And... Why is there a religious exemption for the Covid vaccine? I'd love to know why they would possibly approve 98 religious exemptions.
Well the catholic one is pretty easy. The Pope said no. As far as others they probably verify that you are a member of that church. A sample religious exemption form and guidance from Inslee’s office advise employers to ask whether requesters have a religious belief preventing them from receiving the coronavirus vaccine, and whether the requesters have ever received “a vaccine or medicine from a health care provider as an adult.” If a requester says no to either question, employers are advised to follow up with additional questions, including how the religious belief conflicts with vaccination, how long the requester has held those religious beliefs and whether he or she objects to other vaccines and medicines. The documents from Inslee’s office also note that following their guidance will not “shield any employer from legal challenges,” and advise employers to review their accommodation policies with legal counsel. Ultimately, decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis by individual employers. “That is the story of this entire pandemic. Most of public health has been left up to private employers,” Tippett said. School districts will also have “complete authority” on religious accommodationsdecisions, said Katy Payne, spokesperson for the superintendent’s office.
1. Probably relates to the actual reason. I’m guessing if you just check a box they’re not approving it. But if you set forth why they give it more consideration. But yes treating requests differently will certainly be a part of the litigation 2. Religious exemptions are necessary to make the mandates legal. There certainly could be legitimate religious exemptions to be made.
The second question makes more interesting to me. These exemptions aren’t sincere religious beliefs. People are conflating “I don’t want to” with “god doesn’t want me to”. It’s horse shit.
I did a quick Google because I thought maybe Jehovah's witnesses but they've already said it didn't conflict with their religion. Have you seen a legitimate argument?
I have not but haven’t looked into it really either. And yeah I was going off of religions like Jehovah’s witnesses or Seventh Day Adventists or in Washington I was guessing there’s some version of Mormonism that applies. And yes I’m terribly ignorant about those, so apologies in advance. But the medics exemptions would be to medical treatments as a whole not the made up abortion cell exemption people are trying. so no, you got me. I’m not aware of anything specific but I’m certainly not willing to rule it out.
here’s an article specific to Washington that mentions a couple religions like Christian Scientists https://www.king5.com/article/news/...gton/281-65431353-6096-4d09-899c-3c2d6f573447
I just find it weird if the pope was like, we don’t believe in the vaccine, then people would be cool with millions of Catholics not getting vaccinated. I’d love to know a legit religious exemption for a vaccine.
The argument many have made is that the vaccines were tested on fetal cell lines and therefore derived from abortion. Not only is it a tenuous argument, at best, but the Catholic Church (and others) has gone out of its way to note the potential “evil” of a connection to abortion is outweighed by the evil of putting the lives of others at risk by not being vaccinated. As for the tenuous argument, the vaccines were tested on fetal cell line HEK-293. It is a fetal kidney cell line derived from a fetus in the Netherlands in 1973; it remains unknown whether that fetus was from an abortion or a miscarriage. HEK-293 is a ubiquitous fetal cell line; it has been used in the development of drugs including Tylenol, Benadryl, Advil, monoclonal antibodies and ivermectin.
Even then, didn’t the Vatican say that Catholics should only avoid J&J if they have other options but that if they don’t have another option it is morally acceptable?
Reading that story it's obvious he did it for political reasons and not religious. When he had a discussion with that doctor he didn't ask any religious questions at all.
one of the assistants who got fired at WSU was Ricky Logo. He was on Bobby Johnson's staff at Vandy and is morbidly obese. Blew my mind when I heard he was unvaccinated because he would have a really rough reaction to it based on his weight another was John Richardson who was at Wyoming. Dude went from unlimited job security on Bohl's staff to willingly out of coaching in like 18 months
