Here is what Kirk Ferentz statement will likely look like: “Yeah, we gotta get these kids back on campus. Otherwise they will go back to broken homes with crack smoking moms and dads in prison. They will be having tons of kids out of wedlock, and frankly I pay enough for their government assistance as it is. Once we acclimate then with kids from Bettendorf though, they will be ok. So you can see why we need football”
I'd be shocked if it doesn't. I hope whatever players union they're forming has some good negotiators because if not, the MBA's and lawyers on the other side are about to trample them. "Look, everyone in this room wants you to play but we just can't do it with how dangerous it could be. If you could sign something, we'll gladly move forward. Also, we're in such financial peril that we couldn't possibly pay you anytime soon."
Hard to say your program is better off after losing a national championship winning coach but boy did UCF upgrade just in time. Coach Maga gone and rotted his brain.
It’s getting savage. Our football staff is RT’ing SEC personal basically calling the B1G leadership idiots.
When everyone assumes you’re a complete dumbass but you decide to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Pretty breathtaking how seemingly no one has taken a breather to reflect where personal selfishness has gotten us in the last 5-6 months.
I figure the first thing we will get is a big zoom prayer for CFB featuring Dabo, Harbaugh, Frost and others.
He'd kept it down surprisingly well so far this year and just completely torched it in a single presser. Most impressive
i thought we all accepted CFB is just our personal recreation of choice but is outside of the psychological soothing you get from this nonsense a complete waste of time and pointless
yes i also enjoy baseball much more than i enjoy football before you go that route don’t go full Whammy now
Yes, most entertainment is. I’m definitely not contributing positively to the world when watching college football.
I’m pretty sure Saban identifies as male and uses male pronouns. Can’t be certain with Democrats these days though.
I’m not going any route, I just find people who speak in absolutes based on their personal opinions odd. It’s quite possible for someone to believe Covid is very real and that major preventative measures need to be taken to also believe that players/coaches have been lied to and that shutting everything down seems a little hypocritical.
Who lied to them? The decision to cancel has always been out of their hands and was always going to be based upon how the covid situation progressed nationally. Following all the best CDC guidelines in the athletic department was always just the bare minimum requirement. It was always about what else’s was happening with the disease as we approached time to return to school. Always.
So Covid really ramped up since the schedule release on Thursday? Sorry, I don’t buy it. And if it’s too bad to play football, it’s too bad to have kids at school.
