Covid-preseason is about to eclipse Tennessee coaching search season in the race for best offseason train wreck. The SEC cancelling will seal the deal if something else doesn't do it first.
If the season does get canceled, I've got a potential substitute option. Keep the players off the field and do whatever is necessary to keep their scholarships/eligibility intact. Then allow the goober alumni of each school to suit up against each other. I'd pay $20 per game pay-per-view to see a team of ugafish es compete against a team of Whammy s. Give them the full player treatment so they can live the life of living in a dorm and eating cafeteria food or whatever. Hell, give em NLI rights too! I am serious. I would absolutely watch teams of covid truthers battle to the death on a football field.
you know you're a desperate soul when you can't even find a co-conspirator to text you their half of the script so you can get an authentic screenshot.
SIAP but Southland, WAC and Big Sky collectively postponed all fall sports to the spring this morning looks like WAC is suspending all sports through end of 2020 so no hoops early in the season if we even have it (we won't, I know)
Come on what? That’s the exact link I already read, and it still doesn’t specify who said that, but it does include the clarification you conveniently failed to mention earlier.
The FSU issue is DJ Matthews tested positive. FSU's policy is to contract trace and tell any players exposed to them to quarantine and let them know that a player tested positive. Thompson is currently quarantined for that reason. He was not told it was DJ Matthews that was positive and is furious because of it. FSU has said they test once a week. They tested the week before camp, lastweek and are testing again this week so not sure exactly what Thompson is upset about with the testing.
You can’t even get flames right. Learn what a covid truther is and give it another try. You get all the chances you need.
WCC set to formally announce they are postponing fall sports to the spring but will not preclude low risk sports from engaging in non-conference competition if they wish to do so. I dunno what sports are considered low risk but probably golf, tennis and cross country had previously postponed competition to September 24 totally caving to BYU's demands I'm sure FUCK BYU
so he’s upset because they won’t say who it was that tested positive? Yet every other safety step has happened?
I'm not sure what he's talking about with the safety steps. FSU tests once a week. Norvell said today they tested before camp, the first week of camp and is testing this week. Woodbey (defensive player) confirmed and said they wear masks outside the apartment, temp checks upon entering. Must wear masks and are constantly distanced for meetings. They also wear the face shields during practices. Norvell said the allegations are "untrue." Should be easy to prove if they were doing what they said they were doing. So not sure what Warren Thompson is saying is not being done. However, him and his mother said something similar last year after he stopped being put in games about everyone at FSU "lying to him." Shocked he's still on the team.
A HS coach in Lagrange, GA posted a screenshot of a text convo he supposedly had with an unnamed news reporter that said “Are you still practicing?” “yeah, want to come check it out?” “No, my boss only wants me to focus on the schools that aren’t practicing” “durrr why you focusing on the negative, focus on the positive” “I hear you bro” really fucking lame convo that was obviously fake
these anti-war cartoons circa WWI seem pretty applicable right now with this movement to play football at all costs Come On In, America. The Blood's Fine! by M.A. Kempf His Best Customer by Winsor McCay
Cardinals have played 5 games and looks like their weekend series is going to be cancelled. They were already needing to play 55 games in 44 days
at what point do they remove them from playoff consideration? i get going by winning percentage if they're 4 or 5 games short but they're going to be double digits behind it seems
At this point their season should be canceled, and their first round pick should automatically be the last of the first round.
that's pretty drastic man let them keep their pick and force them to trade jack flaherty to the braves for a 12 pack of twisted teas
