I like Gus Johnson, but he supposedly has a massive ego and a great example of that was after this years B1G Championship Game he handed J.K. Dobbins his announcing note chart for the game....autographed...like it was something Dobbins should keep and cherish.
Honestly can’t imagine a more dangerous event right now. They’re absolutely spewing droplets all over each other the entire time and many first-timers and amateurs would be gutting their immune systems short-term to be a finisher. This is the right call.
and you have like a million people packing the streets and partying all day I like that they just canceled it instead of trying to run it without the massive amateur group
You're right. These workouts are actually essential. It really shows that some of you haven't worked out in 2 months!
Not sure I really care what southern governors say at moment since we need a nationwide health consensus for these sports to operate normally.
I thought this was an interesting read on Fauci’s thoughts on Higher Ed reopening. Obviously impacts sports. https://www.chronicle.com/article/Does-Anthony-Fauci-Think/248839?cid=wcontentgrid_hp_4
"We still aren't totally sure how we're gonna make our campuses safe for our student body and the particulars of what that's going to look like, but let's nail down this football camp schedule - sound good y'all?"
they are miles apart on compensation. which is a huge hurdle but it ignores the fact that, iirc, it’s been reported they’re just as far as apart (if not more so) on safety protocols rowdy continuing to celebrate how correct he was is wild
Guessing I’ll get all of my money back. I split a season with someone and our tickets are $24k for 4 they gave us the option to get a refund Or to let them keep half and lock in this years ticket price for next year we chose the refund and laughed at that proposal
I guess it could go one of two ways as far as pricing: a) down in a desperate attempt to get people to return or b) up due to people being desperate to attend a baseball game. I’d do what you did.
That, plus hard feelings if there are no games this year due to an impasse between the owners and players and not solely Covid
Baseball is probably the sport you get the least from that kind of bump. Refund all the way. Football (college and NFL) I think you'll get strong demand from once we're back to 100% with the limited games compared to other sports. I'm just rolling my PSU ticket payment to next year if given the option.
PSU still charging for season tickets? OSU is and keep pushing back seat selection will be interesting to see who gets tickets if they limit capacity. Gonna take the refund if I dont
The payment due date to get “bonus points” was pre-Covid so I just paid it then like I normally do (even though the sanctions era resulted in points being ridiculously devalued but that’s a different matter). They did seat selection in late April/early May.
