This. Both have partners that you can get some nice redemptions off. The points guy is mostly useless - his shilling is just a turnoff.
Got an email at 11:30 last night saying I was approved for the Ink Preferred, but no account is showing up on my personal Chase CC accounts page. Am I going to have a different account page even though I'm a "sole proprietor"?
You have to set up a new business account and then if you give them a quick call they can merge your personal accounts under that user name
I'm looking at Thailand flight redemptions right now. Korean Air is the leader in the clubhouse. I think I have to call Singapore Air if I want to search redemptions. We're going to fly business or first class. Questions: Can you reserve your Korean Air flight before transferring points to make sure you get the flight you want? I think others have mentioned this. I see a minimal difference from business class to first. It's 40K more points per person. I'd be interested if anyone has strong opinions on if I should spring for first or remain in Korean's "Prestige." Thanks in advance.
Yes you can reserve them. I wouldn't spend an extra 40k per ticket to go to first. That's a lot of points
It's the Boeing 777-300 from Chicago to Seoul and then the same plan from Seoul to Bangkok, I believe.
https://thepointsguy.com/reviews/korean-777-300er-first-class-review/ https://www.smartmoneyandtravel.com...ines-boeing-777-300er-business-class-sgn-ord/ that's a lot of points for not a GIANT difference
Korean business is great, no need to go first for the cost of an economy flight anywhere in the world per leg
I’ve flown Korean air business and first. Some airlines first is worth the extra points, like Singapore or ANA, Not really on Korean. Korean is a solid business class product, probably one of the more comfortable seats I’ve flown in. Singapore is probably the best business class I’ve flown before though. You need a krisflier account to search, and you used to get a 10% points discount for booking online but they got rid of that, so unless you have a bunch of extra points I’d go Korean and save the points.
Booked a flight on AMEX platinum and delayed on layover with chance it gets cancelled and I’m stuck for the night. I also have CSR. Is the travel insurance not eligible since i booked with Amex?
Correct. You have to book through CSR. I don't know anything about Platinum but I'd assume they'd have some sort of travel insurance with the quality of the card
You gotta pay a one time cost, just like buying any other travel insurance. Such bullshit when you have CSR offering it with lower annual fees to boot.
Might have already been posted, but the Marriott Premier Plus card rewards you 100,000 points if you spend $5k in the first 3 months after opening. That's worth about $1k of Marriott points. Also give you a free night/year. https://creditcards.chase.com/marriott/apply
Just finished hitting bonus spend on CSR and on to the next one now. Does this group still recommend the CF or CFU as one to have at all times? I think I’m at 4/24, so if I want it, gotta get it next. Current cards are: CSR AMEX Delta Plat Marriott Discover It Other old random cards
I can't speak for all the group but I think the majority would say CIP so you stay at 5/24. And then probably United because the bonus on that is more impressive than the Freedom. Do you have another Chase card that you could change to a Freedom?
Not sure if they’d let me change, but I have a Slate that’s several years old, as well as Amazon Prime card
You can switch the Slate. You should do that and not consider signing up for the Freedom as a new card, which would waste a spot.
For the CIP, I’m seeing 80k as the current offer. Are they still doing 100k in branch, I think I saw that here?
Nearest full Chase branch is an hour away so I’ll call them before driving up. I’ll post back what I find out
That was me. Not sure if this is specific to this relationship manager or NYC but I can confirm. Buddy of mine signed up late last week.
Signed up for an Amex Everyday to park my Platinum MR points - 25k MR signup bonus for a no annual fee card. Not too shabby.
To confirm for chase ink preferred - it's business owner, not just card to be used for business expenses....
Is that more strict than the standard “I sell on eBay” etc deal? This would be my first business card.
Anyone know how many UR points I should expect for adding an authorized user? How many should bae get for sending me her referral?
The only way to know how many points you get for an authorized user is to know how much they spend and where... Just do the math Referrals are 10k
