Put a few hundred dollars on my cards I haven’t used in a while. Just applied again and was approved without any warnings
Just want to go through a plan and get feedback. Just hit the bonus on ink preferred. Has been two years from most recent sapphire bonus and Hyatt bonus in about 45 days. Thinking about downgrading csr and Hyatt today then applying for new cards the end of November. Am I overlooking anything? Edit: I am plenty below 5/24
Nah, I'm pretty sure that's for everybody. That's why r/churning was having a meltdown when it happened. Your plan should still work for the Hyatt card though.
Preferred- Earn 50,000 bonus points with Chase Sapphire Preferred. I can be rewarded too if you apply here and are approved for the card. Learn more. https://www.referyourchasecard.com/6A/GL90DFTZBE I do not believe they are doing the referrals for CSR anymore.

Just got approved. Do I cancel this one after the second annual fee (first since year 1 is waived) hits? Sorry ohhaithur i used his referral since he was first.
Went a different way. Used one of my referrals to get my wife the ink preferred. Got the auto deny 7-10 and was able to get approved calling the recon line.
The 60k offer on Citi Thank You Premiere seems to be going away. May apply tonight. Are there referrals for this? Any reason not to get it?
No referral bonus :-/ I just got it last week. Nice signup bonus and good multiples on travel, gas, and food. It’s similar to something like a CSR.
You can downgrade after a full year if you want to, no need to wait till the second year annual fee hits. Just make sure you have the card 12 months. Also make you sure downgrade to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited instead of canceling.
Chase offering 60k UR points to upgrade to “Sapphire” Banking platform. Need to have Sapphire or Freedom card, and transfer $75k in cash/securities to Sapphire banking platform and have on account for at least 90 days. Debating this - I don’t know what the Chase investment portal is like compared to the TDAmeritrade and Vanguard accounts I have now.
Sweet! Though, in fairness, ohhaithur is probably more deserving. To your question, I believe the right answer is to wait for the fee to hit, then call and downgrade and have the fee removed.
Still getting the 30 day message on Ink Preferred 3 days later. Is that normal or should it have changed by now?
So it should have changed already based on that, right? Does it sometimes take longer than the 24-48 hours?
I think it took 4-5 business days before the recording changed when I got mine, but it went from the 30 day message to approved.
I bought my first place before I got my first credit card! Got the AMEX platinum 5 months ago. I love the points and perks from it.
Congrats dude, I still haven't hit up the Platinum. Plenty more fun to be had with cards in the future. You'll catch up
Thank you! The best thing is the Delta fly club free entrance, especially at DTW. Pour your own drinks and free food. I legitimately use it as my debit card and just pay it off monthly.
Remind me, does the 5/24 rule apply to chase biz cards? Also 5/24 only apply to credit cards right? I just had to renew the line of credit I have for my business, so they had to do a hard inquiry on my credit. I got Uber and Citi DC back in first quarter and did chase sapphire double dip back in July. So I should be 4/24
From what I can gather, you have to be under 5/24 to get a Chase biz card, but it won’t count against your 5/24 total once you’ve gotten it.
That's the only way to go. If you're not doing this all the "free" benefits you get are costing you a ton If you ever get a.100,000 point referral I'll take it. That's what I'm waiting on
Hyatt changing their points + cash bookings to where the cash is now 50% cash rate vs a set price based on tier of hotel. Huge value lost there. https://thepointsguy.com/news/hyatt-to-devalue-points-cash-add-premium-suite-awards/
The one card I won't recommend anyone even think of referrals is Amex Platinum. The referral offer is never more than 60k so it's just not fair to anyone in the game to use it, especially for once in a life time bonuses - the 100k offer comes every now and then & it's best to jump on it then. Usually via CardMatch, targeted mailers or "Pre-qualified offers" on the amex site. Patience is the name of the game with Amex Plat bonuses.
Wife just the targeted offer. Need to jump on it but working on spg lux spend first. I'm getting deep
Yeah the amex spends are killing me. I've manufactured some spend recently to cover the $14,000/4 months I've burdened myself with and I don't like it
Yeah, I can't use AMEX on Student Loans or Mortgages through Plastiq, so I figure I would need to MS a bit to hit some of those minimum spends. That's a world I'm not sure I want to go down.
I'm doing it now for the same reason. I've found some funny ways to do it (I don't want to get into money orders) and I'm really close but I probably won't do this again. I got into this for no effort free stuff
manufacturing spend is a step too far for me but i'm also approaching 2k in annual fees at the moment I suspect when my bonus chasing ends this will all get much more relaxed, and companies seem to be restricting bonuses more so I imagine it'll end before too long
