WTF is going on with Marriott rewards (BonVoY I guess). I've been three different platinum names over the last three days and my lifetime status got moved up to gold for no reason a couple weeks ago which is nice.

Next round of Citi AA mailers are out in the wild because my cat got one today - not sure if they’ve quit the tiered offer bullshit or if they’re desperate, because this one is for 60k miles with a $3k in 3 month spend

 

Opened the Citi Premier in December in anticipation of expensive oral surgery. $4,000 spend in first 3 months to net $625 in airfare.

Dropped $4,320 out-of-pocket on Wednesday, promptly reimbursed myself $1,250 from health savings, and balance transferred the $3,070 residual to my Quicksilver (2% fee and 0% APR for 12 months). Not mad at basically paying $61.40 in interest to get more than 10 times that back from Citi.

 

Chase telling wifey she can’t downgrade from CSR to Unlimited until after she’s had the card a full year and would have to close account and apply for Unlimited, but we obviously want to switch before the fee comes in. Any advice?

I still have the chase Marriott card but just noticed all the bonvoy changes in the app and what not. Are there changes to the program other than some hotels changing redemption categories? Also did they just send you a new card?

Supposedly eBates now allowing people to earn in Membership Rewards. If it’s a 1:1 value, there could be some huge value there.

It's been about a year since I came to the thread asking for help and came a long ways. Credit score is up above 740 now, over $20k credit allowance between the accounts, and just booked my flights to SXSW next month in Austin completely covered by my award miles.
