Nah. There are much bigger fish for Chase to fry. Also, my business is selling used goods making 3k/year which if on the .00000001% chance this was ever investigated I could prove that I sell 3k worth of shit to friends or on facebook a year. Its their fault if they want to keep giving me cards to do it. Have not. I am calling the status line daily to see if it changes from 7-10 days but it hasn't so in that case I am waiting for snail mail from them. Best case is they are just requesting proof that my address changed and then I am approved. Worst case is they are sending me a rejection letter which I am curious what the reason will be for. I will report back when I find out.
Received a mailer for the Delta Platinum AmEx with a 75k offer. Is this card worth it? I am currently sitting at 4/24 and have about another another 8 months before 1 of those comes off and another 10 months before 2 others come off. Is this worth using my final one?
biz and personal cards approved. I got the pending notification for both, couple phone calls cleared it up. MS time
it was in review because i already have 5 chase cards, I just told them they can move some available credit from the old cards to the new cards.
Ok, so mailer in the trash. I was excited to finally receive a mailer since it's been a while. Still unsure what I should be looking into for the 5th card because I haven't been doing any bonus spends in a long while.
I'd say it depends. I have this card and can refer you for 75k pts too. Do you fly Delta? Do you have status? Do you have to check bags or fly with a chick? I fly delta almost exclusively domestic bc Atlanta. I get zone 1 Boarding, I get 75k miles, I get a free checked bags for the wife ($50 per trip), and get a free companion pass a year. Last year used it for a $750 flight ti Wyoming. That's was $500 value alone. So to me it is worth it. After the new year (your 2nd annual fee) the price goes up $55, but you do get global entry with the card and better multipliers on hotels and other categories. So I'd say it depends. I've like the card and get a ton of value out of it
If I flew out of Dallas or Charlotte regularly or had to connect, I'd probably just burn the Citi cards. I have one now and debating om getting it cause why not
I have the Citi AA Biz card and I have status with American at the moment, though I am not sold on needing to maintain it. I am right in between CLT and ATL so could do either though my preference is CLT because I hate ATL traffic. So maybe I will go with another Citi AA card. Should I do the Biz card again or go with a personal card?
Hmm, so maybe I see if Citi will give me another biz card. Or are there other biz card suggestions (and referrals) I should look into?
This is a dumb question, but can you combine American Express points from multiple cards? If so, how the fuck do you do it?
Slow down their buddy. It is worth it on the companion pass alone if you keep it, and to churn the 75k points which is probably worth $500-$600 minimum. I just got a $100 flight for 6,000 points so you could push that.
Cross posting here with Travel thread... OK. Going to Bali tomorrow night and finally got an upgrade offer... How much is 23hrs in Business Class lay flat seats worth vs riding in coach? Back to Back 13hr/9hr flight. Caveat: Could possibly sit 2 ppl alone in a 3 row seat bc it inst fully booked yet. Aslo have only spent 300 so far on flights/hotel. I'm on the fence
I tend to calculate the total cost of the ticket if it cost that much each way and determine if I'd have bought the ticket at that rate. So imagine you'd be looking at 3k+
Do they all earn membership rewards? If so, they should be combined automatically; just like chase UR
Update on my CIP5 application. Received snail mail from Chase and all they are requesting is proof of physical address for authorizing officer. For reference, I moved since my last application so I figured this may happen. I assume I should be approved once they receive it.
This will put a fresh light on what trash the SW CC earning structure is. Going take a ton of spend to earn the extra 15-25k pts needed after the signup bonus
