Finally pulled the trigger on my CSR. How long does it take the Priority Pass card to arrive after activation?

You have to sign up for your priority pass card separately. Took about 10 days after that I think

Those fucking bloggers really ruined the Alaska cards. You could get 2-3 in a day not too long ago.

I got the United Airlines 70k sign-up bonus back in April. The $95 yearly fee wasn't waived, so I had to pay that. I've now used all my miles to book two flights in December.

I want to get rid of that card and get another card with a good sign-up bonus. I have great credit, but it would be smart to apply for another credit card before I cancel the United card, correct?

It literally doesn’t matter. If you have less than 5 account in the 2 years, get a Chase Preferred or Reserve next. Or both.

I have a CSR. Downgraded my CSP to a Freedom last year since I got the CSR.

I'm thinking Alaska Airlines for the yearly companion pass + 30,000 bonus miles after $1,000 spent in the first 3 months. It would probably be a keeper too. Only $75 annual fee and would save around $200 to $300 every year on the companion flight. I wouldn't use it for anything else. The same deal works for Virgin Airlines flights.

Is there anything else out there right now that has an insane bonus?

Huntsville AL so only two hours away from Nashville. I fly out of there on everything except Delta (Huntsville) and Southwest (Birmingham).

My SPG had $50 off $100 on free grocery delivery today with Shipt plus an extra $10 off for first orders. You might want to check it out. Prices are a little higher but I got probably $90 in real life groceries for $104-$50-$10+$6 tip

I'm about to open my first business credit card, looking at the Capital One Spark Cash for Business card, since I would rather have cash back than travel points with this card. Anybody have a referral that I could help em out with?

Confirm that it's actual cash in form of a check, as I don't think it is. My buddy got it and its redeemable in Gift cards from Amazon etc.

What's the best current credit card to get for a balance transfer? Have an American Express that's coming up on the end of the 0% intro and need to transfer about 3k. I did a little looking around on nerdwallet, but thought I'd ask the pros here.

It’s more like I’d rather put the money back into the business and be responsible versus treating myself to another vacation. But it seems like I’d have options either way.

You can get a statement credit or check.

With Chase Business Ink, you get 1 point for every $1 spent on all purchases. You get 3 points for every $1 spent on: (1) travel; (2) cable/phone/internet bills; and (3) internet advertising. The 3 points for those categories is capped after spending $150,000 every year on those categories. It then reverts back to 1 point for every $1 spent. Points are worth 25% mores when used to book travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards site (i.e. 10 points are worth 12.5 when used to book travel).

After minimum spend, the Chase Business Ink sign-up bonus (80k points) is worth $800. It's worth $1,000 if the points are used for travel. There's a $95 annual fee, which isn't waived the first year.

The Spark has unlimited 2% cash back. After minimum spend, the sign-up bonus is $500. There's a $59 annual fee, which is waived the first year.

So just do the math and see which card would net you more in year 1, year 2, year 3, etc. If the card will be used for everything (like gas), if you do a lot of travel, or if you have a lot of cable/phone/internet bills (employee cell phone bills can add up), then the Business Ink will probably net you more. If you don't, then the Spark will probably net you more.

Chase seems to be requiring me to have a business checking through them before I sign up for business credit card. Is that standard?

i've had my wife as my SWA companion since getting the pass in august. i'm flying to nyc in december (chiefs/jets) so i'm switching it to a buddy.

i called the hotline, gave them my buddy's Rapid Rewards number and a couple other items and they switched it over in 5 mins. By the time I got off the phone w/ them my buddy was already loaded as my companion on my southwest online account

Depending on your goals, unless you spend a LOT on Amazon I think you're better off with a number of other cards. Depending on how much work you want to do.

Using CSR and Freedom I get more than 5% back on Amazon (buy a lot of gift cards on Freedom's rotating categories) and also get more than 2% on restaurants and more than 1% on other.

The signup bonus ain't shit either.

Never. I don't do the manufactured spending stuff, but I just go next door to CVS and buy a $500 amazon gift card and deposit into my own account. No struggles at all and it codes as 5x

Yeah, I mean there’s no annual fee (I’m already paying for prime and won’t stop anytime soon) so it’s really just balancing effect on credit score/how many accounts I want to have open.

I use amazon a decent amount more now that I live in DC and rarely drive.
