I doubt you can pay on two cards, that's usually against the rules. Also, I believe united is the only one you have to use the cards for the perks and they're not just tied to your account. The other major carriers just tie the perks straight to your rewards account. So you're probably out of luck on that
I'm thinking you're right based on this in the details; for the free checked bag, it has to be booked using the card. The priority boarding makes no mention of it though. I've actually already got a couple United flights booked for the holidays, I could just get the card and see if the priority boarding gets added through my account
In marketing we call this A/B testing to test which offer is more appealing Less likely answer: the sites with the higher offer have richer audiences. Like Walmart.com gets 40,000/2,000 but rolex.com gets 50,000/3,000
Will buying gift cards at Walmart qualify for the 5% on freedom. Will not hit the spend limit naturally on mine and wife’s card.
I rented a car in Croatia in May and declined the insurance, obviously, because I rented it on my csr At some point (I'd have to guess the ferry but I don't really know for sure) the bumper sustained some really minor scratches. Well of course they charge me a lot for it because that's what they do. I submitted my claim like 75 days or so after returning and things went pretty smoothly. Then they got the documents in Croatian and it hit like a 2.5 month stall or so where I heard nothing. Shit maybe longer. But today they approved it and my checks on the way. Good shit
Just booked tickets to Kauai for March. Between those and Christmas flights, wife and I ended up saving around $1000 on companion fares with Alaska credit cards.
I somehow missed a payment on my chase freedom by a day (I usually get a reminder email but it never came). If I call today is and explain is there any chance it won’t be reported to credit agencies?
A one day late payment won't show up on your credit report. You'll just have to pay whatever the fees are on it. I don't know if calling them will help with that
45 but you get 9,000 platinum bonus, 6,000 anniversary spend and minimum spend is four nights for two years
Just applied for the Jetblue card from Barclays and wasn't auto approved. I'm probably like 12/24 at this point. Going to try Wyndham now.
Seen on Reddit some dudes have waaaay over that and got approved automatically for the Wyndham, but not the JetBlue. Wanted to use JetBlue to get to Mexico and the Wyndham for the all inclusive
I had 4 Barclays cards & had to wait for the JB to be approved - got the 5-10 day message upon submitting the app but then got approved with a shitty credit limit.
Got in a bad wreck in a rental car yesterday. Used my Sapphire Reserve when getting the car, about to see what they can hook up. However the car was going to be paid by Geico. Read some good cases online, anyone have experience with this? I wasn’t at fault, but enterprise wants my Geico deductible to give me another car. Takes like 4-6 weeks for the insurance companies to settle this stuff apparently.
I did remember your story, did you pay out of pocket first? Assuming yes, you said they charged you but I imagine that means they billed the card? Right now I owe enterprise my $1,000 Geico collision deduction until the case is settled. On the line with Chase to see if I qualify or not.
Chase sends you to eclaimsline.com to submit all the paper work and shit I had to pay the Croatian people at the agency so I put it on my card there
Chase says since I wasn’t going to be paying for the car their coverage doesn’t apply. I used the card for the $50 deposit fee. I had the rental through another claim as some asshole hit n run me in a parking garage and my car has been in the shop for weeks. They did say if I go and pay for the rental that would qualify. But I know Enterprise would want me to pay for the time and the deductible. So I got nowhere but I’m learning some shit.
For those who haven't seen the chase freedom first quarter is gas stations, cable/internet/phone services, chase pay, Apple pay, Samsung pay, Android pay. Easy one to max out
Just picked up the Alaska visa from BoA. $75 annual fee includes $~22 companion ticket in first year then ~$122 for each companion ticket there after.
going to vegas over march madness, i booked my SWA flights a long time ago since that is an expensive weekend to fly. added my wife as companion this week, not b/c she's coming but seats are running out and want to save a spot for my dad who will be my companion in march. planning to make the companion switch in late Feb after I complete some travel w/ the wife. would it make the most sense to cancel the wife's vegas res, immediately call SWA to make the companion switch, then immediately make the companion res in my dad's name? wanting to make sure between the time i cancel the wife's vegas res and my dad is set up as companion that the vegas flight doesn't sell out.
