There was a reddit post in this thread about it not too long ago, probably within the last 10 pages. Some people qualify for it by saying the sell stuff on ebay
yeah you'll be gucci you don't have to own a business to apply for the card. i said I sell stuff on ebay. just come up w/ a annual revenue for the "business" and you'll be fine. I think i said $3k on my ink preferred app
Its been a month an I got the ink preferred bout two months ago. I said I sell textbooks on Amazon with annual revenue of 5k. Literally can make up whatever the fuck you want. I assume the whole requirements of a real business will change in the coming years.
they took my other chase cards into account so i got a 12k crlt. you can shuffle your limits if you have a chase card you don't use and want the ink card to have a higher limit
Ok. I didn't want to get approved for like 8 and have to put 5 on it and get stuck with a higher utilization. Both my other chase cards have 30k limits which really helps my ratios.
Yeah I also got the ink saying I sold shit on ebay. Got my sign up points and counting down the months until I downgrade it to the no annual fee version.
offers usually range between 40k-60k. You can get a rapid rewards card and the rapid rewards premier card. Get the spend to hit the bonus plus the points associated w/ the spend will put you around the 110k points you need for companion pass
Range of 40-60k. Most of the time it is 50k for the bonus. 50+50=100 + 3k min spend on each card = 106k puts you very close to what you need.
Wow. Been a while since I’ve been in this thread. How are you gents? I haven’t used my Chase points in over a year. Where should my wife and I go?
Got enough to get to Tokyo? Just booked a trip using mostly chase points for a west coast trip. Never been west of Texas
I've spent like 270k chase points in the last year. 330ish if you extend that out another 6 months. Been nice
I love me a good excel sheet. My credit card one has four pivot tables and I love it Anyone have any things they do that I should implement?
Do you track all your spending/budget and also calculate rewards? I like how Chase has an export function on accounts and I've used that for budgeting but I don't do it religiously
I did originally but I'm so deep in work spending on my personal cards that my budget for fucked and I gave up I track my points by quarter now by company. That's the closest I can get
No pto here, just going to go on less trips through out the year. Only doing Vegas in February and Tallahassee Labor Day for va tech I think
i'm almost out of my 0% APR rate on my quicksilver (first credit card ever as an adult), so I'm thinking about getting a new card to rack up flight mileage points. is this a smart idea?
pretty ignorant about credit cards since i always used a debit card. so if i open a new credit card to get flight miles and you pay it off on time every month, you don't get charged any interest, is that right?
Correct. Your statement will run for a month period, say from the 21st to the 21st. Then you pay it off before the time when the payment is due, the 18th or 19th or so. No interest charged
sweet, okay that makes sense. I have a balance on this current one but I will be paying it off soon and then likely opening a new card. I should leave the previous card open though and just not buy anything on it?
You probably don't need to wait to pay it off to apply if you don't want to, assuming your credit doesn't suck and youre not like maxed out on it or anything. And yeah leave it open. Never cancel a card unless having a no fee version of it isn't an option
My credit score was over 750 last time we checked for buying our house so I should be fine there. I’ll be buying a bunch of stuff for said house so it’ll be easy to hit that 3-5k spending for a bonus or whatever And it’s the quicksilver so no annual fee
Id just go ahead and get a card then and start earning on it. Unless you haven't closed on the house yet. What do you have in mind for traveling and what you would like to get out of the points?
