The UA is how a reasonable person could guess they were working on a feywild book. But now we have confirmation
Good plan, I agree. Doing one shots is fun, but a mini campaign seems better. However, no Travis/Laura/Sam is almost a deal breaker for me, but I'll give it a shot.
I’m hoping this is the time to see a goofy Liam. And maybe good practice for Ashley to just be playing with mechanics. I’ve watched the DM play games before with Dimension 20. She’ll be good and I’m a big fan of Aimee Carrero voice acting
Finally got through it all. First off I thought Matt making Lucien basically into a meaty beholder was really smart. I was wondering how that fight was going to play out when it was 8 on 1. It was probably a good time to stop the campaign but felt like they left a lot of meat on that bone with the Assembly and with Ukatoa. Finally, it was super touching when Matt broke right at the end during the sign off. I can't imagine the emotions of putting so much of your life into something and see it come to a successful conclusion like that. Really hard to rank the campaigns against each other but I think I liked 2 over 1. I think the players all really understood their characters a lot better in C2 and the Jester/Fjord romance was so much more believable because it was Travis and Laura. I'm super interested to see what campaign 3 ends up being. I think we're going to see a bunch of wild race choices.
I only ever saw him in the Avernus one shot and he played a hamster that didn't talk. I'm excited to see him play.
I’m also not really as excited for this wrap up show as VM. I feel like there are a lot fewer mysteries in this campaign than C1. I’m not sure what unanswered questions that there are.
Just finished the wrap up show. VM vs MN is next for me. Interested to watch EXU this week. I've never seen this new DM but the cast raves about her
First has an average roll of 13, min 8, max 18. second has an average of 11.5, min 3, max 18. seems like first is guaranteed broken stat block with very few if any negative modifiers.
counter argument is that if you’re an adventurer, you shouldn’t have worse stats than a commoner or worse.
Didn't watch Exandria Unlimited, but they have a Wildfire druid and a Divine Soul sorcerer, which is cool. Also a bard and fighter, which are pretty good. And also a hexblade, which sucks shit.
Watched the first hour last night, solid but slow as most starting out episodes are. They are all level 2
It was definitely different. I liked it. A lot lower stakes, but it’s sucks that Liam is still the somber one. I guess there has to be a straight man
I also like that Aabria knows it’s a show and gives info to the audience that the players aren’t supposed to know. We will see how well the abstain from meta gaming
Just started it. Curious what type of bard and fighter they are/will be. Thought it was interesting that Liam was a halfling fighter from the air ashari (Keyleth)
Just finished MN vs VM and Beau is a fucking beast. Vax's character is so OP, I was glad MN won. Feels like VM brought a bad mix.
Liam was also kind of a bitch that episode. Trying to retcon damage, and then telling Laura she had to stick with what she chose to do even though she didn’t have all the info.
First episode of the spin off mini campaign got 1+ million views on Twitch in a week, which is pretty crazy even for CR episodes. Their normal episodes don't usually come close to that. Also, episode 2 comedy levels with this new group are off the chart.
Listening to Travis play Grog in the first campaign to now hearing him playing an intelligent, charismatic Fjord is awesome.
or maybe laura is. but travis famously never learns anything about 5e except the class he is playing. during VMvM9 he asks some really specific questions about bardic inspiration.
I wonder what the setting for C3 will be, I hope there’s a lot of plane jumping. Like have a long arc in avernus or something. Think we’re going to get a crazy racial make up of the party
You can tell Matt is having so much fun playing for once instead of DMing, this mini campaign is a lot of fun
I'm mostly positive on Aabria. certainly a much more casual dm. i'm curious if she will always dm the mini campaigns or if they'll bring in others.
