For MTG nerds… does anyone else get Kaladesh vibes from the starting city. It feels that way to me and I love it.
Spoiler i imagine the person orym is looking for is the character travis will play soonish. or maybe guest character
Spoiler That seems to be the popular opinion from what I’ve seen. Travis kinda have a look when The Anger came up
Spoiler that name seems to imply a barbarian. Are there any other classes that would make sense with that moniker?
Spoiler Rogue. Blood hunter - werewolf subclass Fighter (unlikely) Barbarian (unlikely) sam being a heal bot is hilarious. Marisha power gaming with a Sorlock build is also hilarious after being bad as a Druid and playing a monk. Ferne was really underwhelming combat wise in EXU. Liam basically played a side character/support role all EXU Laura is the most surprising in my opinion. Really curious to see what she brings to the table with Imogen. Her voice acting and character is nearly identical to Xoti from. PoE2:deadfire also Dancer is either going to be the BBEG or a guest character imo. Probably EXU’s GM guest character?
This was my first thought. His current setup throwing everyone off the scent imo I already like C3 group dynamic more than the mighty nein.
The delivery was A+. His comedic timing is god tier. subclass discussion Spoiler Talesin is playing a graviturgy home brew barbarian? I thought sam was a forge cleric but people think his channel divinity was home brewed too? Laura isn’t aberrant mind is she? She took telepathic feat imo. Not sure her subclass. marisha is totally undead warlock patron of lord/lady briarwood right? Whitestone connection sealed it.
Spoiler pretty sure talesin, laura, and sam are homebrew. theres nothing raw that could have let laura do all of the things she did. same with the other two.
Spoiler nah. he didnt roll on the table. but he did have gravity based powers and some sort of charges of aomething he expended. plus he always plays homebrew.
Spoiler I didn't hear anything about gravity, but he did use Chaos Burst, which is a wild magic thing
Spoiler somehow i forgot about cad. i imagine he would have come up with something if he had more than three days to do so
I don’t know what it is exactly, but I can never stand Marisha. She seems so over the top with every character I’ve seen her play
our group is going to do a level 20 micro campaign starting next week. one of the players is going to be a wizard with a pet hamster. i'm going to play the hamster. rune knight, order of the lycan, path of the beast.
I actually feel bad at how bad she is at accents as compared to the rest of the cast. She’s always all over the place when she tries to do one.
Talesin is bad too. keyleth was supposed to be naive and came off ditzy and marisha could not handle druid spells while drinking. beau was too abrasive and marisha tried to act too hard. Played well in combat though. her one shot frog character (from Ashley’s) was probably her best. her one man band character from taryon one shot was clever but annoying. I think her playing a Sorlock is funny because she has the potential to easily be OP in combat compared to every other pc at the table fairly easily. An optimized Sorlock does amazing DPR and is pretty easy to play. From a character standpoint, I think she’s got a couple of potential amazing background plot points up her sleeve. I’ll reserve judgement on her acting/character. Still wishes she would have went full time production and Aimee go full time cast. Never would happen but Aimee was hilarious on EXU
If it wasn’t live you’d assume it was scripted. So good. Top 3 one shot imo. Played her well in combat, I couldn’t stand her for 80% of the campaign, grew on me by the end
It’s just that type of character. I’m not a fan of Talison’s character yet because he’s just abrasive. Not quite as bad as Beau was originally. But I thought Beau was great towards the end. Loved Marisha and Travis in the early game with ‘Manners lessons’
later on I would agree with. Early campaign she was over the top. Asshole just to be an asshole because "my character is an asshole"
First 25-30 episodes beau was intolerable. While she remained the weak link of the C2 cast, she ended up ok
Taliesin just had no idea how to play a blood hunter, which makes sense because that class is a mess.
I really don't understand the seemingly large swath of the fanbase that just LOVES Mollymauck. He was kind of a "meh" of a character and died stupidly.
I know, I don't get it at all. He was a terrible character that basically killed himself. The show got better when he died.
Blood hunters are great but only if you multi class them. The sustained damage per round is amazing in levels 5-15. If you do ranged blood Hunter, take artificer for 3 levels before blood Hunter. if melee, take barbarian levels to optimize. talesin did a melee build without any multi class and a shitty con, so his AC sucked, his HP sucked, and he didn’t dip barbarian so no damage reduction. AND he went 2 weapon fighting which is the worst fighting style in the game by far. AND it’s even worse on blood hunters since your bonus damage only amplifies one weapon at a time. AND his character and accent sucked. Worse PC in all 3 campaigns, no question.
