Win or lose, you can’t miss this weekend if you have the opportunity to go. Flying in Friday, playing Colorado National, and then heading to Pearl Street Stampede. Boulder is gonna be in rare form.
This is pretty much where I'm at. It's an opportunity that I just don't think I can pass up. I'm curious what time Sink, Darkhorse, etc are opening on Saturday. Update: Dark Horse at 7, Sink at 8
I worked at the Dark Horse for 4 years. That place took decades off my life. Not from the drugs and booze, but from the health code violations and eating/drinking it all anyways.
I'm not surprised. This will also clearly not change my opinion of the place. lol I always do because I feel shame if the bell doesn't get rung after I pay. Do the people in the back realize those who did and did not tip?
Oh yeah…when I worked the kitchen, we were some broke angry cooks that definitely paid attention to who tipped. I’m sure shit has changed since then, but we ran so many scams with tips and food and whatever. You tipped me $20 back in 1998 and I’d give you about $200 in free food over the next few weeks.
DH after the game is our move. jbr wouldn't be surprised if we crossed paths at DH quite a bit. Been going since I was 8, had my grad party there, now my wife and I hit book club there every sunday we're in town.
I didn’t go to CU until I was 21 and was placed at WillVill the first semester. I’m a grimy dude at heart and fell in love (for better and worse) with the Dark Horse week 1 of being in Boulder. I devolved pretty quickly into that lifestyle and 75% of my debauchery was on that side of town. I ended up knowing/associating with more Boulderites than students for most of my college career. I haven’t been back in 10+ years, but I still know the owner and GM and would have no problem (until the morning) throwing back red headed sluts, car bombs, and shots of don julio.
Any of you guys still live in Boulder? I’ve never really spent much time there, seemed like a nice place though. Have a friend that is moving there soon. I looked at the real estate market on Realtor, good lord.
It’s was like 5 years ago (more?) where the average price of a house hit a mil. The most expensive rent I had up until buying a house was my Sr year in Boulder, a mere 16 years ago. It would blow my mind when I’d visit friends at southern schools his cheap everything was.
Also, when I told my younger daughter (5) I was going to Colorado: "You're going to go see Ralphie the Buffalo without me!?"
Got a little 6u flag football to start the day. Already told the youngest to lose the red shirt. We coming.
Dress like shit, look like shit, play like shit If we don't get halftime footage this week because a walk-on is getting sacricified then so be it.
I think y’all probably win even if we never turn it over but it’s an intriguing hypothetical. Envious of your offensive competence and the joy around the program.
The doom and gloom started seeping in after that 57 yd qb draw, but, man, it was nice to get past that and execute. Seeing a different level of player on the field is so refreshing and makes up for a lot of deficiencies. What’s the most wild: people are hating CU football for the first time in a generation.
Is there any talk that Sean Lewis would take over in the event of Prime leaving, either for health or new job reasons? Pretty impressed with that dude's work
I could’ve sworn there were problematic whispers prior to him jumping ship. I don’t remember details and could be completely wrong so there’s that.
I think he'd obviously be the guy, but I genuinely don't get a sense that Prime is looking to "move up"
I didn’t even get a chance to go by the bookstore or team store on Saturday, but there’s gotta be inventory in there, right? I’m sure it’s a one off, but that pullover/hoodie Prime was wearing Saturday was fire.
