Most large Wisconsin Culver's sold out of the Curderburger. It's been 2 hours since they've opened. Some people waited in line for 30+ minutes. Luckily Denver still has them available
We got one close to my house recently and I don't really get the appeal. It's not bad by any means but nothing special at all imo. Shakes are legit though. Burgers are Tier C, shakes are Tier A.
I had a similar opinion to this my first couple of times as well. Now I just go with the single patty and think it's my favorite fast food burger (this does not include shake shack, burger fi etc, since those aren't fast food)
Just had a double deluxe. Shit's good. I still like you dblplay1212 but your Culvers take has definitely strained our friendship.
It's good? I'm really sketch about fish at a fast food place but I may try it. I want to like it bc we're limited on options. We don't do fast food often but the only options near here are BK (I don't mind), McDonald's (fucking disgusting), Wendy's (meh), and Culver's.
The couple times I've had their fish sandwich it was like sit down quality. Like Popeyes chicken sandwich quality fish sandwich. Honestly best fast food fish sandwich I've ever had. But it could vary by location I suppose so I don't want to get expectations super high.
Culver’s is like one of those movies you thought was, ‘it’s not bad, but I’m not sure if I love it.’ The older you get and the more you experience you realize it’s elite in its category and few are doing it as good within that category.
Definitely trying the fish next time. I grew up with my grandma taking me to Long John Silver’s. I have no fear of fast food fish.
Is this a new burger or something they do randomly? I drove by a Culver’s tonight and there had to have been 30+ cars in the line and I had no idea why.
In the latest episode of Hot Ones, Minnesotan Andrew Zimmern does a great job explaining why Culver's has the best drive-thru burger.
First time I had Culver’s I was like it’s ok, not sure I’ll go back. Then after a 2nd trip months later I was like, this is good and now if I were to get a fast food burger, it would be Culver’s
essentially said the same thing above. It’s the cult classic of fast-food restaurants that becomes more appreciated as time goes by because the subtle brilliance of the entire thing. for example, the fact people can legit say they get fish from a fast-food restaurant that is legit.
The service is pretty exceptional for fast food too. There is always a lot of staff and seems like managers/supervisors. They must pay a nice wage, because they staff at a different level.
Assuming you go to the one in Powell? They’re fantastic We had a stretch where we were going to see friends on Friday nights and wife works until 6 so we would just go to Culver’s on the way. Went like 3 times in a month.
Yeah, the one on 750 is the closest to me but every one I've ever been to has had elite customer service. It's definitely just part of what they do.
They're truly a mixed bag depending on which franchise you go to. We have two here in Austin - the one by my house is average at best. Drive-thru is a shit show and overall quality just isn't great. The one further north that was close to my office is really good. As many of said, the burgers could use some salt and can be fairly bland.
Looks like someone hasn't been keeping up with the Culver's thread. I won't name any names, but his name rhymes with fried skillet.
