Is that still a possibility for YTTV or is that history now?
Is there an easier way to organize the YTTV guide outside of dragging and dropping? Even on desktop, that's going to take forever. It would be nice if it were just in spreadsheet form where I could highlight and move several channels at once
But you can click on the three dot menu beside each channel and pick move to top or move to bottom
I use this for devices that are at the opposite end of the guide, and then fine tune as needed. My order is
2. Full time sports channels
3. Part time sports channels (like TNT)
4. Remainder are in default order.
I disable channels that I will never, ever watch, then I go
Sports channels in the order of priority with NBA ones at the top, college basketball channels have been cycled to the bottom of the section. Once it's football season I'll switch to put football ones at the top of the sports section
Everything else in alphabetical order, except news channels at the bottom.
Pretty much my plan. Takes about a minute to move “groups” for the time of year
An update for our Roku users: Today we’re introducing a feature that gives you a new way to access YouTube TV from within the YouTube app. This update will be available to all YouTube TV members on Roku over the next few days, and we will expand to as many devices as we can over time.
Here is how it works:
Make sure you have the YouTube app downloaded from the Roku Channel Store
From the YouTube app, simply click on “Go to YouTube TV” in the left-hand menu of the app
If it’s your first time doing this, you’ll need to sign in to YouTube TV
You can learn more in our Help Center
We’re still working to come to an agreement with Roku to ensure continued access to the YouTube TV app for our mutual customers. As of right now, existing YouTube TV members still have access to the YouTube TV app on Roku devices.
As a reminder, you can still cast to your Roku device from your mobile device, tablet, or computer by following these simple steps. You can also continue to access the YouTube TV app using all of the devices listed here.
We hope this is helpful and thank you again for your patience. For further updates on this issue and our efforts to resolve it, please visit this website.

Already canceled because the Twins are terrible. YTTV so much better
Anyone having issues having youtube tv connect to internet tonight?
Youtube in general has been glitchy tonight
Mine said lost connection, restarted and no issues since
YouTube giving me issues tonight.
YouTube definitely having some issues in the last hour for me. Haven't had issues with YTTV though.
It was a little slow and is now totally busted for me.
Down for me
Been back for 20 minutes or so, no issues.
yeah been awful. couldn't watch mlb.tv via yttv and thought it was just my connection at first. but now i'm just getting "content not available at the moemnt. try again later"
Apparently my sony tv model has a crappy arc output, so I reprogrammed my old harmony remote to control my xbox and used that as my streaming device. That worked way better than expected and I won't even mess with getting a new roku.
In another few years we're gonna be right back to where we were with TV. The same few companies owning 90% of the content
After numerous years of failed attempts to get it adapted, Y: The Last Man will finally be a thing and is premiering on Hulu on September 13.
Sinclair Broadcast Group is reportedly looking to raise $250m (€206m) to create a new sports streaming service that would broadcast games within its portfolio of exclusive rights.
According to the New York Post, Sinclair is working with investment bank LionTree for the venture and plans to charge $23 a month to fans who want to stream its games in regional markets.
Major League Baseball and NBCUniversal are planning a test deployment of live baseball games on the Peacock streaming service, with the league once again seeking to advance efforts of providing live games to direct-to-consumer streaming platforms.
Peacock on June 18-20 will show each game of the three-game series in San Francisco between the Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. The games will be available nationwide, and shown exclusively on the streaming service in the Philadelphia and San Francisco media markets. The games will be placed on Peacock’s free tier.
The unique broadcast plan will also see Peacock combine the announcing teams of both teams into a single telecast, utilizing the Giants’ Jon Miller as the play-by-play announcer, along with the Giants’ Mike Krukow and the Phillies’ John Kruk and Jimmy Rollins as analysts.
The effort marks just the latest step in MLB’s continued experimentation with live, in-market streaming of games on platforms beyond their own league-controlled, out-of-market service, MLB.TV. Other efforts have included an ongoing alignment with YouTube, and Amazon is also offering 21 New York Yankees’ games this year in-market to fans without a cable or satellite subscription. Those Yankees games, unlike the Peacock ones this weekend, are also available on over-the-air television.
Key MLB regional rights holder Sinclair Broadcast Group, meanwhile, is actively advancing plans for its own direct-to-consumer offering of its Bally Sports networks, something MLB has supported, and the company reportedly is raising additional capital to buttress the effort.
The selection of Giants and Phillies for the initial foray of MLB games on Peacock is not surprising, as both clubs are equity holders in the NBC Sports regional networks that show their games.
And for Peacock, the move furthers the sports programming push by corporate parent Comcast to support the fast-growing servicewith as much top-tier live content as possible.
While streaming-exclusive efforts such as this traditionally raise objections from cable and satellite television subscribers who then are unable to get those games, the experiments such as this one by Peacock represent an overt effort to tap into media consumption trends increasingly favoring cord cutting and consumer adoption of streaming services.
To that end, NBCUniversal reportedly is considering an integration of its seven RSNs into Peacock, and the Giants-Phillies games potentially will provide some key learnings as that deliberation continues.
SugarShaun drink it in
Of the three local teams on Bally’s, I only care to watch the Red Wings on a regular basis. Since practically all of the streaming rights for hockey are going to ESPN+, I’ll just get a VPN to watch hockey. Sucks for those who want to watch it all though.
The innovation and effort to deliver a quality experience to the consumer at NBCUniversal is unmatched
anyone get this free TiVo 4K streaming stick from YTTV? The site was a mess but my order went through.
I didn’t get the email but I don’t want some damn TiVo stick anyways
That’s because you sick at eating candy corn
To ensure our loyal YouTube TV members have a great watch experience (including the ability to watch 4K content on our optional new add-on service coming soon!), we want to offer you a free TiVo® Stream 4K device.*
Never got an email which is odd because I've gotten the free Chromecast from each of the past 2 years for being an early adopter. When did you receive the email?
i got it at 5:30 ET
no free shipping? BS
I've gotten probably 5-7 google devices for free over the years via promos, but nothing here yet. I don't normally Turn on my Roku tv for YTTV though.
the tivo stream4k seems about like the new chromecast, but with more audio support.
YTTV guide stuck on noon tomorrow for anyone else?
No. Better for you now?
Negative. The guide has moved further forward into tomorrow in real time. Can’t click on any of the shows. For example, it shows US Open final round is on and partially finished. My home and the individual channel pages show the correct live programming, though. It’s odd. I’ve relaunched the app a few times.
