I think officially they’re “asking Congress to update the law”
Also tough shit mother fuckers
If you can’t take hoopshype at their word, who can you trust
How would they be able to shut it down instantaneously?
Yeah. Let's go after illegal livestreamers instead being introspective and looking at the price or quality of our product or how much CEOs get paid.
Wonder how long until you can select channels. I’ve seen a lot of tweets like this today.
if you selected a local channel game, you got the local channel games in multiview
Rofl. That would suck.
The feature needs work and when they get it so you can select what games to watch, that will be great. But this guy just didn’t know how the feature worked. My multi view for the early games included both those games.
Yeah it’s not super intuitive but you can get the 4 screen you want.
Always amazing to me these services can't give you the simplest things that everyone wants
Google is just a tiny mom and pop company.
Somehow this service is worth $30 billion (seems ridiculous), yet can’t pay writers a living wages or pay royalties.
The purchase of Fox’s assets is a fucking awful deal for Disney at this point. Paid $71 billion, did have to sell Fox RSN’s (which went for $10.6 billion), but also have to buy out Comcast’s 1/3 share of Hulu as part of that deal as well.
Turning out to be the opposite of their Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars purchases.
Love multiview. But PLEASE let me make my own multiview selections.
They say it’s coming and I have to believe they will because people are going to be over the preselected ones like yesterday
It also gets a little funky when games are delayed.
I don't even do the multiview anymore because half the games in them I don't give a shit about.
TNT, TBS live sports going direct
added at no charge through February. def gonna be some fuckery for March madness
The B/R Sports Add-On will provide coverage of the 2023 MLB playoffs, starting with the National League Division Series. The NHL, NBA, NCAA men's March Madness and United States national soccer team matches will be among the other offerings. Users will also be able to stream The Match and Inside the NBA when they broadcast.
All told, the B/R Sports Add-On will have more than 300 live events each year.
Bleacher Report-produced video content will be wrapped into its new Max tier. That includes On Base with Mookie Betts, The Voncast starring eight-time Pro Bowler Von Miller, and 12 Talks with Travis Hunter
we are going back to cable packages again aren't we?
by a different name, yes.
We always were.
Just more expensive and less user friendly. Yay
Max - the company bleeding money with the wonky app and garbage leadership - trust us to bundle your precious live sports and favorite tv shows!
Not more expensive for me....yet
Also YTTV is waaaaay more user friendly than any old ass cable providers I ever had.
I think he is talking about HBO Max's subpar user interface.
Ahhh that would make sense. I'm not a subscriber though people do seem to complain about their app commonly.
This is horse shit
So it is just TV
There's not enough things to watch on prime to pay $3 for it imo
Lol yeah I will not be paying that
after they already jacked up the price of Prime to $139 per year, or $14.99 per month? bastards
This was always inevitable with cutting the cable but god damn it’s bleak.
Speaking of horrific interfaces…….
Welcome to the resistance, Jim.
Well he blew it by not saying “and it would be so much better if we could pick the four games you wanted to watch.”

Signed up for the 7 day free trial of Sunday Ticket. Good shit so far
TBH I don't want them to since I don't have a team in MLB or NBA that I have to follow
If they are part of a sports package, cool. If they are included on the base plan and prices go up? No sir
I could sign off on that being a middle ground.
I’m curious if their tournament coverage includes the CBS aired games
No. Those would be on paramount +
Not sure what that’s going to do to the HBO price but I feel like I’m a FOX/B1G app away from canceling YTTV and just having Peacock, ESPN+, FOX, and Paramount+ services individually until some douchebag company comes in and bundles them and we restart the process over again
its so stupid juggling between apps.
opening the streaming app and spending a second navigating to where it should be only to find out its been put on linear TV so you have to close that app and repeat in YTTV.
at least YTTV is good about highlighting/guessing what game you want to watch when you launch it.
