Hated them yesterday (and they still need to give us the opportunity to choose our multiview games) but having baseball and football option tonight is fantastic. Thats exactly what I wanted
Roku now puts a "continue watching" list that the top that can be from various apps. E.g. right now ours show Mayans on Hulu, Sister Wives on Max, and Dragon Prince on Netflix. So that's a good start.
Chromecast does similar on the home page. Will also recommend some live TV that’s airing on YTTV or other apps.
Yeah. Tip: scroll far left for the source sorting to hide/show and reorder... ESPN, FOX and YTTV at the top of mine. Turn off "Watch Next" because that isn't helpful for sports.
EPL and Peacock people. Great news for fans of 5.1 surround sound audio. This week, just in time for the start of the NBA season, YouTube TV added 5.1 surround sound audio to ESPN networks. This was a great surprise to many NHL fans last night who suddenly found ESPN’s coverage in 5.1 surround sound audio. To make this work, you must have a 5.1 surround sound system and a streaming player that supports it. 5.1 surround sound is included with the base YouTube TV package.
Anyone having issues with the multiview tonight? Same thing that was happening last Sunday during NFL. Better now but I’m thinking it’ll come and go throughout the night
tempting to see if I can exist with just the ESPN standalone and torrance life. Bundling it at a discount with Disney/Hulu would be nice too. particularly that both georgia and wake forest rights will be entirely owned by ESPN.
housing local rights within the ESPN app (or even Peacock, Paramount, etc) would be ideal compared to the current fractured landscape.
Don't think I've ever put it all out in one place before. Monthly expense estimates Netflix -$15 Hulu - $15 HBO - $15 Disney Plus - $10 Amazon - $10 WatchESPN - $10 Youtube tv - $75 Fiber internet - $60 $210 month $210 a month * 12 months = $2,520 annual expense on tv, internet and streaming XM/sirus, spotify, apple music and nuggs users feel free to add to that
Would assume it's never been on webOS or whatever LG calls their system but that's a guess. Not aware of any disputes.
I think it's through Verizon. With the credit I was under $10/month for the bundle until the recent price hike.
Anyone’s YouTubeTV ever suddenly go to shit? I have fiber, never had a problem but for the last 3 days YT tv does not want to work on any of our tvs. Its like low def 2003 quality all our other apps no issues yes I’ve tried all the normal stuff
Every now and then my feed will go to shitty standard def quality as well, I usually just change it from “auto” to 1080p or whatever the highest hd level available is
That's definitely strange. I've never had an issue like that with either of my TVs that I use it daily on
Never that widespread or long lasting. I’ve had the occasional issue like that, but it usually fixes itself quickly, or there’s a known issue (like with red zone and Sunday ticket a couple of weekends ago). Whatever the issue ends up being, they better give you a credit or something
Literally never. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to buffer from 480 or similar to 4k on mobile but never any issues on wired tvs at home.
I’ve had it for 4-5 years now and I’ve got no complaints. I hate not having the RSN’s but it’s easy enough to track those games down. I love the app so much. That’s why I’ll never go back to cable. Being able to watch on a mobile device is great. Just also throw in an HD Antenna for your standard channels.
If you're going to get something (streaming, cable, or satellite) it's the best out there for a variety of reasons
Maybe we can just bundle all of the streaming services together and sell them all to consumers at one price and give it a catchall, generic name?
