Anyone having issues with youtubeTv buffering? I have gigabit net and a mesh wifi so I doubt it's on my end
I’ve had it for almost 2 years and last night with ESPN was the first time I had an issue that I couldn’t resolve on my end. The other channels worked fine, just has problems with ESPN. A bunch of people were talking about it on Twitter so it must’ve been across the board.
That’s weird because I was streaming from the app with no issues at all. That’s been pretty shitty for me in the last few months.
That was what people call a prediction. It wasn't a prediction that happened but that can be the case from time to time with those.
I've had issues with the Roku app buffering. Maybe it's that. Going to hardwire my connection before next Saturday.
YoutubeTV has been flawless on my computer but some slight hiccups in the bedroom on my Roku device. Usually pretty minor and works after.
Sounds like a Roku/App issue and something they maybe can fix. Wife is wanting to switch back to hulu live because of it, but fuck their interface.
What are you guys accessing YTTV on? I haven't had any of these issues. I access it 2 ways. Main TV is a TCL 6 series that has Roku pre-installed. Secondary TV I have a Roku Ultra that's connected directly to my router via Ethernet cable.
Roku. Wireless. Don’t have the problems with Chromecast admittedly but not sure I have enough usage here to say that’s the reason. Just a hunch. But it’s defknitely the on demand when they want to put on their commercials.
Ah got ya. I'll have to pay attention next time I watch something that's DVR'd and is the On Demand version.
Have a second bedroom Vizio D Series from 2016 and learned that the app is not on their platform. I can’t connect via Bluetooth and the TV isn’t generating a temporary Vizio WiFi for the SmartCast app, so I’m assuming I just need to buy a streaming device? We have a Roku on our TCL, can I buy a Roku Express/Premiere? Edit: I see posts about Chromecast and Roku. What’s the deal with the lesser Rokus? I don’t see the point of Ultra at $99 when I can get a new 32” bedroom TCL for $129.
tried this and it worked easily as far as giving me nyc local channels. will work for NFL thank u walter
If you use YTTV and you know somebody with a cable login this link is probably your best bet for tonight's game and next weeks http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/main/network/watch That or reddit streams or a free trial somewhere. Starting week 3 amazon and FOX will have it, weird to not have the first 2.
How can I stream to my chromecast and use my phone for tmbing simultaneously, or is that why a Chromecast sucks?
I think it's just because I'm mirroring my screen, not "casting" that I'm having my issues. Thanks for all of your continued support.
what is the preferred internet speed for ytv getting internet set up at my new place and it was always under my roommate's name so idk what i need 100 mbps or 400 via spectrum
I think you’ll be fine on 100 for yttv. But if you have multiple devices (like more than 6-8) pinging at the same time I’d get 400. That includes but not always thought of like google hub, iPads, ring doorbells, etc...
would for the most part only have one tv streaming. maybe 2-3 on saturdays. feels like it would be enough but idk. ytv says 13 is recommended so feels like that should be plenty but i am computer illiterate
Start off low end and see how it goes. You can always call in and have them increase it over the phone. It’s just a logical switch for them to increase it.
I run 4 hd streams on football saturdays no problem, and I’ll still be on the phone, wife on phone, daughter may be on tablet and has never been an issue.
is anyone able to stream youtubeTV in 4k? I have the latest roku, internet 340 mbps, and a 4k TV.....still wont stream in 4k
It doesn't have to do with your hardware. Most TV channels don't broadcast their content in 4k. There's lots of articles on the matter if you Google it.
While some providers (Fubo, DirecTV) support 4k and some sources (Fox, CBS/The Masters, NBC/Olympics/English Premier League) have 4k content - YTTV does not support it yet. We will definitely talk about it in here. About 95% of all mainline tv content is not available in 4K anyways. As @1 said, YouTube has tons of 4k content that should work fine on your 4k tv unless you have some weird version of the app.
Cancelled directv today after 13 years of being on promos. Every year they’d renew or make my promo better. Called last month and the guy said you’ve got one month left on promo so nothing is populating in the system, call back at the end of the month. Called today and all I could get was $10 a month off internet. Said here’s what i can get price wise for my channels streaming and the rep was like I understand but the system won’t give you any other promos. Bill was going to go to $196 next month, going to be $105, including internet, switching. I’m going with PS Vue because the trial showed me it works for what I need it for and all my TVs have fire TVs so the you tube thing was a no go for now
