Anyone know anything abt the robot vacs? I'd like to get one that is compatible with Google Home/Nest and that I can set up to run through the house while I'm at work.
Been meaning to ask myself dblplay1212 I seem to remember you going on about yours in the prime thread this summer.
All the new ones can do that. We have 2 and they are in schedules. I highly recommend the Roomba j7+ bc it has a camera that allows it to avoid stuff that would clog up the machine. Kids toys, dog toys, wires, dog poop, anything like that is avoided so it runs on it's own and doesn't get stuck. It learns your house and give you a map to split up into rooms so you can have it clean specific rooms. The configuration of the house isn't perfect bc it can't tell a dresser from a wall but it's close enough to set schedules. Ours cleans foyer, office, living room, dining room, and kitchen daily and the rest of the house twice a week. Red boxes are stay out zones bc it can get stuck or knock things over in those areas.
Only concern here is that didn't Amazon purchase Roomba? I don't really care if they have the layout of my house, I'm just worried at some point it goes with Alexa only.
Really wouldn't matter. It has it's own app and you set the schedule inside the app. My entire house runs on Google Home (lights, TV's, we have speakers in every room, cameras, etc) and I don't have Roomba linked with it at all. There's really no need to. I guess I could say "Hey Google, have Roomba clean Gracie's room." but I've never felt the need to do that. I just open the app, click new job, click Gracie's room, then start and it's off to clean G's room.
Based on the suggestions against the Frame TV, I am leaning towards this one. I am not the most tech savvy person but I would like a larger TV in my den. Mainly for movies, sports, etc... and won't be used for gaming. I also like I can purchase the necessary wall mount and have it installed via the Samsung website as well. Any thoughts? https://www.samsung.com/us/televisi...ass-s95b-oled-4k-smart-tv-2022-qn65s95bafxza/
I just got this last week and no complaints so far. Schedule everything through the app and it also mops. Haven't tried that function yet. https://www.walmart.com/ip/ECOVACS-...-Cleaner-and-Mop-Auto-Empty-Station/648526423
What is your concern with it interfacing with a smart assistant? Most of these devices have their own cloud services that they connect to.
Im helping an older neighbor who wants a high quality wireless surround sound system. My first thought was sonos but though they have a home theater option I wasn’t sure if it’s really the go to in that space. Would be home theatre but then have sync’d speakers in rooms and a couple outside on the deck. Any recommendations?

New kindles are on sale today for around 30% off. Think they go cheaper next week or should I go for it today?
Here it is on sale anyways https://slickdeals.net/f/16197007-i...cmid-3e4df286eb22c13b9f8e993a4b104d2f&src=jfy If anyone thinks another brand and model are comparable for cheaper, I'm down to learn about it.
the thing about roombas they don't tell you is that you have to have clean floors for it to clean your floors i bought one this summer during prime day. it works pretty well though it's louder than i expected. but i have a very small condo (like 1000 sq ft) and it can be a pain in the ass to get things off the floor so it can do it's thing. it also struggles to get my entire condo on a single charge, too, which i find weird. it gets about 90% done most of the time before needing to recharge.
the new ones with the cameras/light does well if you have anything on the floor in our case, dog toys.
Best Buy has this 55" TCL TV for $199 if you sign up for the mybestbuy thing https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-55...k-uhd-smart-google-tv/6470259.p?skuId=6470259
I can't recommend the j7+ enough. The camera picks up the smallest things, cords, dog toys, even small pieces of dog food. It'll compeltely avoid that area. It'll send you a notification when done asking if something is an obstacle or not so it learns as it goes.
They’ve gotten better since inception, but still not worth the money/effort. Your mileage may vary. See dealer for details. Void where prohibited.
I got this last week, I don’t know how it compares feature to feature but I have had no complaints so far. It also mops too. ECOVACS DEEBOT N8+ All-In-One Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop, Auto-Empty Station https://www.walmart.com/ip/648526423
We have concrete floors and we’re eyeballing one of the a couple months back. Thing I saw was that they tend to leave tire tracks through their mopping so you have to mop again to clean up after them. How’s your experience with it?
We haven’t done the mop yet. Once we do I’ll report back, the vacuum is pretty good and the auto empty feature is nice. I can’t comment on it running into objects on the floor bc we typically clean up pretty well before it runs.
Grabbed this for my sons room. Was $199 for Best Buy members https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-55...k-uhd-smart-google-tv/6470259.p?skuId=6470259
Looking for a cheap TV for a kitchen or something? https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/771226
Robot vacuums are great. New ones have obstacle avoidance and recognition systems. I have a mid level Roborock that's perfect. Depending on what you spend, the mopping systems get exponentially better to the point where it will retract the mopping system when it comes in contact with carpet as well as refill itself as the base. Ranking wise: Budget: Eufy 30c Mid level: Dreametech Z10 Pro #3: Roomba J7+ #2: Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni Big gap between the other two and #1: Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra
I got a cheap one and I love it. Will probably get a mid level one or wouldn’t think twice about getting a really nice one.
I've went back and forth. I need one for a child's room. 720p shouldn't matter much for what it's for and size.
I'm guessing that's because it's for the one to buy during this presale where you had to have Best Buy's total tech membership. They have , assuming, the same one on their regular BF sales ad. Nov 24th
Aight. Is that in store? b/c I'm not doing that shit to save $100. My main issue if I buy online is I'm leaving for vacation the next Friday and a bit worried it's not going to arrive in time.
I’m into home theater but haven’t looked into Sonos vs others. Based on everything I’ve heard / seen they have the best ecosystem for anything wireless though. It’s expensive for what it is, that said they do have a series that is made with ikea that is cheaper and can be used for surrounds to bring the price down.
Does printer ink ever go on sale? I’m at that point where I have to pay for ink that costs more than the printer initially cost
I bought online and it gave me a choice of delivery date. So you can schedule for when you will be home
