That was the one negative I saw from when people got hands on with the game. So good to see they are addressing it. But melee in first person has never been great in my opinion.
the witcher had its design flaws and bugs. seems hard to avoid it in games of this size, but they sorted most of them rather quickly. I know crunch is a problem in the video game industry, but i mean theres only really one chance to meet a deadline unless you push it, so if i worked in that industry id expect it close to release.
I think the fact it’s been delayed once, and now they are in crunch, despite saying it wouldn’t happen, is an indication things aren’t great. Covid had to complicate things to an infinite degree.
It really does, even the "consumer friendly" publishers seem to do it as mostly a means to get good PR and know full well they can continue treating their employees like shit because they can get away with doing it.
CDPR is also government funded in Poland and represents income for their own government. That’s some super extra pressure
There are tons of high pressure jobs out there. I have a buddy that works in marketing and he works 90-100 hours a week. I do agree it sucks but I'm not sure I see it changing.
I understand that Schreier has a level of credibility, but he didn’t really state how this is proof: “I can confirm they used to work at CDPR (just got off the phone with them)”. I’ll take the tweet with a grain of salt until there’s more credibility applied to the stories. Even so, how does it look in terms of opportunities for someone in the developer/designer field? Surely there’s no short of creative people who can apply their creativity many different ways. Some of the things stated in the tweet in the complaint don’t seem very reliable.
Can someone point me to a solid breakdown of what exactly is CyberPunk? How to approach it, lore, etc.
I know there is Keanu Reeves, it’s in the future, and you can control the size of your genitalia. I can only assume it is a dating sim where you try and bang Keanu.
I still think it’ll be great, but these are relatively small delays in the grand scope of how long it’s been in development
Have we even seen game play footage yet? I bet they haven’t been able to properly scale this for next gen.
Eh, “going gold” is mostly symbolic in terms of actual quality. Look at all the buggy shit out there. I think they just want to take a few extra weeks to refine a game they’ve been working on for the better part of a decade.
