If there’s one thing I know about the majority of Clemson’s fan base*, it’s that they would be more upset if he came out in support of the BLM movement. I went there for a year, and the amount of overt racism (on- and off-campus) was astounding.

All of that is true, but in all honesty, is Dabo speaking publicly right now good for anyone associated with Clemson? They seem very comfortable with who he is and what he stands for, so at that point it's about hiding him more than letting the world in on his thoughts on the world.
