"Listen, the SEC is a great conference, but I don't think they've been as deep the last few years. I think they've had two or three really good teams and then it's kind of been hit or miss from there. It's an awesome league, for sure, and I know people say that Alabama was tired because they went through the grind and had to play all these teams," Swinney told ESPN, discussing a narrative he has heard mostly in media circles. "Well, they won by an average of 33.1 points per game [going into the playoff], so they ought to be well-rested. "My thing on that is, 'Are you serious? They're tired?' Then you look at Clemson, and we won 12 games by 20-plus. Who really challenged Alabama in the SEC? They didn't get challenged by anybody until the Georgia game [for the SEC championship]."
After making a significant contribution that ultimately contributed to the level of success achieved. Also, the "bonus" doesn't really work. It's more like getting a memento that company gave the team as recognition.
Honestly dont care if he got one or didnt get one. Maybe dont trash the coaches on your way out the door and you might have an argument. Hope KB2 kills it for Mizzou though. He had the wrong voices leading him out the door.
Nah just his "mentor" which had his cousin or whatever run the first interview right after he said he was leaving.
His most significant contribution was quitting so dabo was forced to let Lawrence take all the snaps and develop
He also won the TAMU game for you. Which at worst allowed you to become the first 15-0 in modern history, and at best affected your playoff seeding, or who knows what else. Pretty significant.
Give him a game ball if he didn't quit lawrence probably doesn't look as good as he did at the end of the season
this is pathetic. They make like 300 of these things to hand out to trainers and shit. He didn't have to get the nicest player ones, but it definitely is petty to ignore his contributions altogether.
It’s time for Kelly to sit down with the press and open up about “Dabo’s Special Muscle-Enhancing Shampoo.”.
i understand both sides of this argument and knowing dabos history of giving every random person a ring i would have thought bryant would get one but this is obviously a "theres nothing to talk about this time of year" story
If we're going to start giving out rings because Trevor Lawrence made his ass quite then we're going to need a hell of a lot more ring sizes.
Dabo offered him to stay and redshirt. There was no reason for him to just quit on the team. In hindsight, it was probably less of a distraction that he just quit. Regarding the A&M game, KB took starters reps the entire fall camp. If TL had received those reps, I believe he could've won that game. But who knows. Hopefully, KB at least hooked up with Maria Taylor after quitting.
Dabo sucks, but not for this. I don’t blame kelly for leaving, but I also don’t blame Dabo for not giving him a ring.
You gotta really be fucking up to make me side with Dabo and Clemson. Get it together OP. You're SEC. it's supposed to mean more.
I thought it would make for a good old timey Tmb bitchfest thread (minus the racism) Tbh i expected dbl to really dig in much more than he has.
I think Dabo has something really sinister he’s trying to hide. He really wants you know he’s a big Jesus guy.
Seems like the likes on the first few posts indicate that the rightful 95% of us side with Dabo. He quit and I don't blame him and he's looking out for his future, why the fuck should he get a ring. Lol @ Finebaum, grasping at anything for Alabama
Because feinbaum is thirsty for approval from his listeners and needs the ratings boost, that's why Pat
The way you choose to distribute the rings they give you for winning the National Championship will negatively affect recruiting?
