— On ranking Ohio State No. 11 in the Coaches Poll: "It's a big deal because we are having to play them. As I said earlier, there is no question that Ohio State is good enough to beat us, any of the top four, to be a national champion. I didn't rank anybody that didn't play nine games or more in the top 10. That's why they were 11. I didn't even consider anybody. It had nothing to do-- I mean I have all the respect in the world for Ohio State. I think the world of Ryan Day. We've talked many times. They are a wonderful program. We recruit against them because I think we have a lot of similarities in how we go about our business. There's really nothing to it. "You can change the name to any other name, anybody. If Southern Cal had been 6-0, I wouldn't have had them in there. No dissect. People can perceive things however they want. Every year I take (ballot) seriously, but especially this year. I just don't think it's right that three teams have to play 13 games to be the champion and one team has to play eight. People have a problem with that, I don't really care. It's my poll. It has zero to do with Ohio State. I would also remind the Ohio State people I voted them in 2017 for the same reason and left Alabama out, and they were good enough to win it. It wasn't about that. I just thought Ohio State deserved it. They played more games and were the Big Ten Champion. And I played at Alabama. I'm an equal opportunity guy. There's not gamesmanship. I think the games matter. I don't think it's right that Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Florida, Cincinnati got punished because they played more games. These games matter. That game vs. LSU was a big deal for Florida. The game is not played on paper. To just say, 'They would have won,' I don't think that's right. People take it personal, but it's nothing personal at all." — On if he realized people would see his ballot: "Absolutely. You don't think I don't know it won't be made public? What's right is right. I could probably run for governor in Michigan and have a good chance. Not too popular in Ohio. I wasn't going to change that to be politically correct and try to appease people. It is what it is."
Guy says whatever he wants and he still wins, still gets most of the recruits he wants, still has those around him kissing his feet...I can see why he doesn’t care how he comes off to everybody else I can only imagine if he ever replaces saban what the finebaum show will be like with Bama fans going to war for him..
But in those losses he said those teams should be there. This is the first time he’s said that the other team shouldn’t be there.
He's said Ohio St is a team capable of winning the championship, he just felt that the number of games is important too.
So he wanted a team he knew couldn’t hang (A&M) instead of a team he knew that could. Dabo the scaredy-cat.
I watched this movie called Skeleton Key last night bc of Kate Hudson (oh lawd) But I’m now 99% certain (Edit: Jeff) Bowden skeleton keyed Dabo’s body some time in the late 2000’s.
