i prefer rain for now that cuts down on 3-4 months of 100° days the heat is coming so i’ll take less of those days for now
I don't see any day over 60% though. Odds are the forecasts will be flat wrong (like they always are) for some of those days. There was one day last week it said it was going to be clear, then the day before it changed to rain, then it didn't rain at all, then while there was hardly a cloud in the sky my weather app said it was currently raining. TLDR Weather folks don't know dick here.
most of the days it’s said it was going to rain, it’s been very light or nothing at all here not even sure why we’re complaining about overcast cooler days
an underrated past time is watching Delkus melt down on social media when people call him out on his inaccurate forecasts
Just what the pool industry in DFW needs, an entire week more of falling behind. Everyone should just turn their pools into burn pits for bonfires until further notice. Fuck me...
Been here since Monday. This weather has been shit other than the last 2 days and the next weeks looks bad. Luckily for our opening yesterday it was beautiful and we were slammed all day. Hope the weather doesn't kill the momentum but this location should be a hit long term either way.
The good news is that it won't be this particular flavor of shit for long. The bad news is that we have a lot of different flavors to offer.
Had a small tornado touch down about two blocks away from me in North Dallas (right by the JCC). Took out only one house, but it was one that just got rebuilt after last years’ tornado. What fucking luck. I took a 12 foot 2x6 through my garage roof, and I am two streets north of that house. But I’m not complaining bc I had six months’ repair work after the last one. I’ll take the 2x6.
Yeah tomorrow looks bad. I'm sure we will get some bad/consecutively bad days this week just happy to start the shit streak with some sun.
It is simply amazing and also no surprise at all that people are still at a standstill with insurance companies over that tornado from 1.5 years ago. Lots not scraped yet, houses still with shredded tarps, work only just beginning. I have several customers that still have done basically nothing as they are still going back & forth with insurance.
Yep, my best friend here lost his house in the October ‘19 one. He won’t be back in until Nov ‘21. USAA has been trying to fuck him at every turn. I think they didn’t even start work until August ‘20 given what assholes USAA we being.
Day 3. Storms were supposed to start at 6AM and go all day. Currently sunny. Now not starting till 2 or 3.
I would like to formally disavow my comments from last week. You do not, under any circumstances, gotta take 105 degrees over this weather we've had so far this week.
My only issue is I need to mow my damn yard. Otherwise the only issue is the humidity when taking my little guy for a walk in the stroller.
I went ahead and mowed this morning. Have to have it looking good for noted guest Det. Frank Bullitt tomorrow.
I was in Dallas last week on vacation with my wife… it’s been years since we’ve spent any leisure time there. Even though, as you know, the weather wasn’t a plus we had a good time and enjoyed some great meals and one evening not so great (Monarch)… got a cool piece of art at Southwest Gallery and was able to drive home without the storms we had when we arrived on Sunday… for us, Dallas was for lovers… for a week
i hate living over here on weekends i should just find a girl to stay with and bnb my apt on weekends
Only time I go to that area on a weekend anymore is for the rare concert; I think the last one was Fleet Foxes at The Bomb Factory maybe 3 years ago.
deep ellum was really cool when i moved here 4 years ago. still a little crazy but not nearly as busy or wild then they just kept adding those huge apt complexes and it’s drawn in a ton of shit heads that i want nothing to do with. i do enjoy living so close to the farmers market tho
This fucking weather, man. Have hardly got shit for work done in about 3 weeks. I cry uncle. I am too far behind.
