Huge Sugar Bowl victory for Rutgers over Alabama 44-25. I'll try to recap but honestly I can't remember everything.

First quarter I get ball and score a TD on a nice long drive. Alabama takes the kick back to my 20 but gets called for clipping and starts at his 20. He moves the ball rather easily to my 15, and then on an option he makes a bad pitch that my SS picks off and takes it to the house. 14-0. Bama comes back and scores a TD on a 15 yard option. 14-7.

2nd quarter I manage another nice drive and score on a TD run. I get a stop and take the FG at half, 24-7 RU.

3rs Qrt Bama gets ball and I manage to hurt Star Jackson and pick six em to go up 31-7. He comes back and scores real quick and gets the 2 point to make it 31-15. I bust another score on a 75 yard run and my dumbass goes for 2 and I throw a pick-two. 37-17. He has a nice return, which he had been getting all game to my 50 and scored again on a post up to his WR, and gets the 2. 37-25. Now I have the ball mid way through the 3rd and I know I need to put something up on the scoreboard to wrap this up. A nice long drive puts me up 44-25 with just 3 minutes left in the 4th and that about does it.

My team showed up for the big game, it's funny how bowl games work sometimes. Almost anything can happen I've learned, thats why I love user bowl games. I def. expect to see Bama in more big games moving forward and I'm just happy to get a 6 star, get this somewhat "rivalry win" and get next season going.

eh i dont see it in him mangler to have him that high of an overall in the dynasty. but i will say he had very few snaps against me when we played. used him pretty much only on options or direct snaps and couldnt really throw a lick.

based no what I've seen from him he shouldn't be a 95 ovr or whatever he is. However, that can be said for 50% of the players that were in the game when it was released. He just happens to have a combination of skills that make him highly rated on this game.

At least it wasn't catastrophic like these two pick 2s.

    2009 Navy @ Ohio State
Ohio State intercepts the 2pt attempt to tie the game.
Brian Rolle 2 pt conversion Interception vs Navy

2002 Furman @ Appalachain State (This game is at 2:41 of the video.)
Furman takes a 15-14 lead on a TD pass with :07 seconds left in the game and decides to go for 2.
The pass is intercepted, lateraled, and returned the length of the field to give App St a 16-15 lead.

    Recap of FSU Bama.

As usual the weather was horrendous, in every dynasty game i've played ry ry this year (roughly 5-6, in which im undefeated :smug: ) it has been a down pour.

FSU wins the toss and kicks off to Bama. Bama puts together a nice drive. They are faced with an early decision of going for it on 4th and 5 on their ~45 yard line. FSU holds and proceeds to march down the field with a balanced attack and picking apart the Bama blitz (this would be a reoccuring theme).

Bama once again is held to 0 points on the next drive. FSU gets 3 points. 10-0 Noles at the half.

Noles get the ball at the half. First play false start. Somehow, someway, Bama knows im passing and gets to my qb, ball is picked off but the Noles hold Bama to 3 points. 10-3 FSU.

FSU drives takes a long drive into the 4th quarter. Decision time 4th and goal and the 6 yard line. FSU opts for a FG. 13-3 FSU.

Bama drives and on a 3rd and long situation fuckin Trent Richardson breaks a whimpy tackle from Willie Downs and takes it 17 yards for the score 13-10 FSU.

FSU is given another decision. 4th and 5 on the 50 with 2 minutes left. We go for it. Secord throws a terrible ball over the TE's head. Turnover on downs.

On the next Bama drive, FSU defense has a brain fart and lets a play go 37 yards for a TD. A play we covered all game perfectly. 17-13 Bama with ~ 1:20 left.

FSU with 2 timeouts starts driving. 3rd and 10 on the Bama 30. Secord throws a ball in which Bama Jr. standout Jonas Williams (Florida native) drops what would be the GW pick. 4th and 10 FSU converts! With 20 seconds left its 3rd and 10. Secord drops back and hits Daniel Smith right on his break, a beautiful pass for the TD! FSU goes up by 3.

20 seconds left and Bama needs a prayer. But instead throws a pic to my SS.

    FSU 20 Bama 17

Tuscaloosa was shocked. That makes in 3 user games in a row the bammers have lost. The swag has diminished and even more importantly nothing may come out of the years in which Bama clearly had the best team on the field in every game they played.........

.......... in other news #2 Michigan tops #1 Miami. In a stunning upset. I have a feeling this might be darealness' most hectic season yet.

    nicely done Schmeds and Freeze.

Freeze must have a solid squad up there in Ann Arbor. Knocked Smitty off last season with the B10 on the line then beats the Cane$ to start '15.

would request a recap of Mich/Miami and if either Jimbo or Vito would be so kind I'd like to hear about the UT/VT Kickoff Classic.

    Re: DaRealness Official Thread (Full)

From what I can remember without stats in front of me and due to having played the week 2 game last night as well this Navy coach who happens to be holding the VT job will give a quick recap.

It was a hard fought game with nothing being given away by either team, zero turnovers the entire game.

UT gets the ball first and is running the ball right down the Hokies throat. The Vols had to be averaging more than 4 ypc on that initial drive. The Vols get well into VT territory and then decide to call their first pass play of the game. That resulted in a sack and "4 yards and a cloud of dust" was no longer possible for UT. The following pass play was another sack. Ultimately UT was out of FG range and VT ended up with the ball in poor, poor field position. The Hokies opening drive was a conservative mixture of rushing and passing that resulted in one particularly big break away run that was stopped inside the 20 yard line. However the Vols defense was stout in the red zone holding the Hokies to a FG.

The first half continued much in the same manner. However UT was able to move the ball with a good mix of run and pass and while not producing points the Vols were winning the field position battle with the Hokies.

If I recall correctly the scoring in the game continued with VT taking a 10-0 lead.
The Vols answered back with a TD to make it 10-7 with less than 90 seconds to go in the first half.
Virginia Tech moved the ball down inside the 10 yard line, but couldn't get lined up to spike the ball in time for another shot to the endzone, so the last time-out was burned with two seconds left in order to add 3 points before halftime.

The rest of the game UT continued to move the ball, but the Hokies continued to bend but not break to keep the Volunteers out of the endzone. Meanwhile while UT's defense began to gamble a bit more. Just when they would get a sack or tackle for a loss it seemed they would then give up a big gain or a first down. The Hokies eventually added another touchdown. I thought for two seconds about whether I wanted to kick the XP or go for two to be up by 14 vice 13. I kicked it, but in hindsight I'm not so sure that I shouldn't have gone for two.

Virginia Tech goes into the 4th qtr up 20-7 and begins to get conservative. Anticipating the Vols to overplay the run the Hokies choose to throw the ball a bit in the 4th qtr. UT however was able to cause a couple of key incompletions which conserved time and give them a couple more possessions. Unfortunately for the Vols those possessions didn't yield in any points and only resulted in a few turnovers on downs.

The play of the game was a long run by the Hokies where it seemed that a Volunteer safety had the angle on the ball carrier, but it appeared that the safety was then controlled by the user and it just turned into a bad pursuit angle, allowing the rusher to reach the endzone.

A tight game that was only two plays away from a different result.

That week is Lee Corso going to put on an old leather helmet with the Princeton design (often mistaken as the Michigan design) or will he don the head of the Scarlet Knight mascot?

    Cane$ vs Mich Recap...

Battle of the D Lines throughout the first half. Neither team could muster a drive longer than a few first downs. Late in the second quarter, score 0-0, Miami finally able to move the chains, lines up for a supposed FG. Commish can varify the following as he was present. Miami gets the kick aimed perfect, milks the play clock, fully expecting a kick but must have accidentally picked fake FG, so Da U shocked by the misfortune tries to pass to an open WR only to be picked by an underneath safety or LB. The return is roughly ten yards.

Michigan is still in the their own territory but manages, maybe do to momentum, to breach the formerly stout Miami D on two successive runs, both huge gains. The Michigan RB is forced out at the 4 yard line on the ladder run. Nearly an epic disaster. As it were, Michigan kicks an FG as time expires in the half. Six point swing. 3-0 Michigan at half.

Miami gets ball at half and tries to dig into their bag of tricks but is severely pressure my the Michigan D Line and throws a pick on second down. This pick is returned into the Miami territory. The Miami D rears up and stifles the Michigan offense and almost pushes the back out of FG range. Michigan bombs another FG, this a long one of 55 yards. Score is now 6-0 Michigan.

Miami receives the kick and puts together a vintage drive picking up yards in chunks and then almost breaks a long TD but is eventually tackled deep in Michigan territory by the last defender. Miami has a first and 10 from the Michigan 12 yard line. Points of some kind seem eminent. After solid plays on first and second down, Miami is faced with a third and 2 and is stuff at the line of scrimmage. Down 6 points, late in the third quarter, Miami plays to win and decides to go for it on fourth down. With seeming acres of real estate in front of him, Miami is sure not only a first down but a touchdown could result from this fourth down gamble. Out of nowhere, the Michigan DE casts aside Miami's stud OT and tracks the Miami ball carrier just as he is about to turn the corner. Enormous stop for Michigan.

Michigan now with ball in the 4th quarter attempts to chew clock and shorten the game. Again the Miami D comes to the aid of their inadequate offense. Michigan is forced to punt and Miami is left with favorable field position. Again Miami churns down the field but will not be denied this time. A short run caps the game's first touchdown. Miami leads 7-6 with under two minutes to go in the fourth quarter. The Michigan faithful are silent.

Miami kicks off and tackles the Michigan returner around his 20 yard line. Some serious heroics are in order for a Michigan victory. They are not to be though. The Miami defense stuffs Michigan on first. Second down, Michigan goes deep for the kill shot but the ball is knocked down. Third down seemed like a near first down for Michigan but the ball is roughly separated from the receiver leaving Michigan with a fourth down and more than ten. The Miami rises up once more and forces an incomplete on fourth down. Miami gets ball deep in Michigan territory with a minute 1:35 to go. Michigan has only two time outs. Game Over, Cane$ escape. Maybe.

The Cane$, being the program that they are, were not satisfied with a 1 point victory. Instead of chewing clock, they come out throwing, looking to pile on late. Suddenly and without herald, disaster strikes! Poor execution on a pass play by the Miami user leads to another untimely interception which is returned to the Michigan 35 yard line. Michigan has new life. Michigan content on running the ball breaks a long gainer to the Miami 45 yard line on first down. Miami attempts to regroup but gives up another huge gasher down the left side line. With one defender in between the Michigan option, Michigan deftly pitches to the back who turns on the boosters and takes it to pay dirt. Pandemonium erupts in Ann Arbor. Seemingly seconds earlier Michigan was facing a home defeat to the vaunted Cane$ and now has astonishingly just taken the lead with under a minute to play. 12-7 Woverines. Michigan wisely attempts a two point conversion but is turned back by the Cane$.

Miami, undeterred, returns the ball the to their 35 yard line. They have one timeout remaining. Earlier in the half Miami paused the game to take a piss but the Michigan user turned the count down on the pause screen and the game unpaused while Miami was still in the bathroom. Upon returning, Miami realizes that he is about to take a delay of game and hastily burns a timeout. This would come back to haunt Miami. On first down, Miami spots a receiver running unencumbered down the field and hits him for a 36 yard gain. The Cane$ have just entered striking distance. The Cane$ hurry to the line and but are unable to get organized and call a timeout. Cane$ call a pass on first down and Michigan is up to the task and forces an incompletion. Second down the Cane$ strike gold again. A Miami receiver comes free again and catches the ball on the Michigan 4 yard line where his momentum is halted by the last remaining Wolverine defender. Fireworks are in store. Miami hurries down the field and spikes the ball. 21 seconds are left on the clock. Miami breaks the huddle and goes with their bread and butter. Miami seems to be heading for another miracle in Michigan but a second Wolverine defender aids his teammate and stacks Miami up on the one yard and a half yard line. Miami hurries the up the troops and attempts to spike the ball, X is doubled tapped and another audible is called in a different formation. Chaos ensues, the clock ticks relentlessly, four, three, two, finally the Cane$ are lined up, hike hike hike hike, one.... zero. The game ends before Miami can hike the ball. If only Miami still had that timeout from the piss break, If only Miami had chewed the clock and not thrown the ball, if only if only if if if.... Men are roaring, tears of joy are streaming down the faces of the women, the children are bewildered, shocked, silent, never have they witness such a spectacle. The dragon has been slain, down go the Cane$. Michigan outlasts the Cane$, 12-7.
