Anybody else as excited about this game as I am, and the fact that it is available on the PS3 and the 360? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93LFz_j5fQA&feature=player_detailpage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-7xPqXXByk&feature=player_detailpage
Going to get Dark Souls in a couple hours for the 360. It got a between a 8.5-9.5 in every review I have seen so far.
By and far the most frustrating/ hardest game I have ever played, but on the same note one of the best combat driven games I have ever played. The world is beyond huge, and the enemies you face are something out of a bad dream. The graphics are amazing and some of the boss battles are as beautiful as they are deadly.
Very hard but i'm loving it so far. part of liking it is that i didn't read anything about the game before release and didn't have any expectations, so it's a nice surprise. I like that there's no map and you just have to figure everything out on your own. Pretty much have to read the darksoulswiki to figure out the basic things. I made the mistake as starting as the deprived class. Started over as wanderer. High learning curve on the combat and mechanics/response can be inconsistent. Haven't even made it to the online co-op component yet. The graphics are good and it feels like a large world. I don't know how the long the game is though. I wish you could adjust the camera, and it sucks that you have to use the right stick to move the camera as it doesn't auto-adjust with left stick movement; pain in the ass during combat.
I haven't played this game yet but I've heard it is Demons Souls 2. Now im a pretty casual gamer, I usually only beat 3 or 4 games a year, but when I heard about this game, saw the review for Demon Souls and the fact that it won GOTY on Gamespot, I had to get it. It looked so fun and original, and it was. I used the Wiki page like no other. I tried not to use it, and there were a few levels I completed without using it, but you miss out on so much if you do. And I'm never a guy that plays a game twice, so I wanted to experience this game as much as possible. It is a hard and frustrating game, but totally worth your time. There are hours of gameplay where all you do is try to collect souls. There are more hours where you try and retrieve the souls you lost, but its actually fun. But you should not be scared of this game due to difficulty, b/c I cannot express how much I enjoyed Demons Souls as a very casual gamer. Go get it. I'm getting Uncharted 3 soon, and when I'm done with it, I'm going to trade it for Dark Souls
I beat Demon Souls and I'm halfway done with Dark Souls now with about 50 hours played so far. I love/hate this game so fucking much.
Started playing this yesterday. Fun but if the first couple of hours of gameplay are any judge, this is the hardest game I've ever played. The second boss, not even a real boss (mini boss) kills me one fucking hit like 15 times in a row.
Holy fuck, I've always considered myself pretty good at games but this shit was so hard. I've probably died more in this game than all other games combined. Is there anyway to see how many times you died? Awesome game though. So rewarding once you get pretty good.
yeah, I'm down in hell fighting dinosaurs. I just found an appreciation for invading other peoples worlds and raping. Very awesome feature. I think I might be a little over powered because these people can't even make it a fight and I get no flasks. I'm like 7-1. My last four games have been Skyrim/ME3/The Witcher 2/ and DS. Best 4 game streak ever, imo.
That is a fantastic streak of game, and I'm glad I could help with some of the choices. Nice I am on my second character a hunter, and I am at Anor Londo right now. This game is as beautiful as it is deadly.
That's what I'm playing as now. I kind of jacked up my build because I didn't know what I was doing though and I also killed off all my pyromancers so I'm stuck at lvl 9. What were you in your initial playthrough?
My little brother and I worked together to beat it. We used a knight which is by far the easiest character class. Right now I am 40 hours in and a level 64 Hunter.
Everyone heard about the GOAT game getting a sequel? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPJaJ5ys_G0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpS0HMzqnTQ
Currently doing an SL1 run through DS. Adds a whole other level of awesomeness when pretty much every enemy in the game can one shot you.
