I wouldn’t say he’s in on the joke because his brain doesn’t work that way. To Darren, higher engagement and impression numbers directly correlate to his self-deprecating raw score.
I would care if it was being authored by literally anyone else in the world. I enjoy stories like that but I won’t click on it because of him. Real shame. Sucks to be me.
Darren tweets out a fake restaurant receipt not realizing it is fake. He is informed that it is fake. He claims he knew before he tweeted it. He is asked why he posted it then. He goes silent.
Darren used to be a good Twitter follow. Annoying at times, but he had a niche and he stuck with it. This new iteration into gambling it just a horrible sell out. I finally unfollowed. I could not give less of a fuck about his gambling takes.
I did the same last week. He was always on those twitter follow lists when twitter first became a thing in like '09 and I'd been following him since.
And he misses the point. Not to mention all of those RT’s by him are just in effort to have as ammo for this exact moment.
